Unfortunately, playing through standard headphones doesn't come close to the experience you get from a real guitar amp. The Waza, as well as the Spark, are great practice tools, and the Spark can even be used as an audio interface for recording (however, the USB output *only* carries the guitar signal, it does not carry the streamed input nor the Aux input, likely for copyright reasons), but for full-featured functionality, the last of an effects loop (or software looper) limits some of the usefulness. Perfect for those longer sessions, or when you get carried away and find yourself playing those huge riffs at 4 in the morning.

The Boss Waza-Air headphones are far more than just a pair of headphones; these are the world's first truly personal amplification system and it's like nothing you've ever experienced before. You would be able to record the output if that output were masked from your ears and you were only using the phones, but you would not be able to "punch in" other tracks while you are playing. Supporting communication with Roland WM-1 and WM-1D wireless MIDI adaptors as well, this unique pedal is the next step in Boss's vision for performance free of cables. Furthermore, the Waza-Air headphones have controls allowing you to control song volume and playback right from the headphones themselves without having to even touch your mobile device. Our site uses high-level SSL encryption technology, the most advanced security software currently available for online transactions.

It's workable this way, but since there are only 6 slots for patches on the headphones, it's more limiting. There are also more than 50 effect types available, including modulation, delay, and reverb effects that have been specially optimised for the Waza Air. I tried 496R/500T (Gibson Gothic), DryZ (Greco EG59 Custom) and P90 (Bacchus Classic) with my Waza Air (same channel, all same settings) and they all sound unbelievably similar. The split knobs for effects is inherited from the katana interface, but on a digital app it feels weird.

If you break it down into monthly payments over time, it's much more manageable than you might think. The Boss Waza-Air allows you to experience the joy of playing your instrument, any time, anywhere, without disturbing neighbours, parents, partners, children or people alike. On first look, you just see a fancy pair of Boss headphones, but this couldn’t be further from the truth.Five amp models and more than 50 effects are available to choose from, including sounds for bass and electro-acoustic guitars, which provide a three-dimensional sound experience with the integrated gyro sensor technology and thus give the impression that the amp is in the same room as the player. Waza-Air folds down into a very compact size for storage, and it’s possible to swivel the ear cups into a flat orientation for sliding into a guitar bag’s pocket. You will need a separate micro usb lead to charge both headphones and transmitter, but that’s nothing a few quid and Wilko’s won’t fix, the headphones won’t charge both, unlike their wireless system. This enhanced warranty is in addition to the standard Gear4music and manufacturer warranty policies, and the Gear4music terms and conditions of trade. The Waza-Air setup changes the game for the practice setup, with a wireless headphones system that offers three-dimensional sound, and a cornucopia of amp models and effects plus Bluetooth audio streaming.
