Description

I haven't used any other effects processor so can't directly compare, but the unit has more than surpassed my main reasons for buying it. Lot of fun discovering new sounds, building a library of patches. The GT-1 was designed for musicians on the move. It’s surprisingly lightweight and compact, yet still delivers the rugged durability that BOSS is famous for. The modern design is easy to slip in and out of a guitar bag’s accessory compartment, with no worries of hard edges causing damage to your axe. AC or battery power provides flexibility for any performing situation, and up to seven hours of battery life is available for street performing and other mobile gigs. Easy Patch Selection and Sound Creation The GT-1B is designed for bassists on the move. It’s surprisingly lightweight and compact, making it ideal for tight stage setups and situations where you need to travel light. The rugged modern design is easy to slip in the accessory compartment of a bass bag, with no worries of hard edges causing damage to your instrument. For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs. EASY SELECT button, EASY EDIT button, FX1/LIMITER button, OD/DS button, PREAMP button, FX2/MOD button, DELAY button, REVERB button, MEMORY EDIT button, EXIT button, ENTER button, MENU button

Please note that this extended warranty is currently only available on products sold within the UK, EU or EEA, and is subject to the terms and conditions as detailed on the extended warranty certificate provided. Thanks to its Premium BOSSsound engine, the GT-1 provides tone quality and sound-shaping ability that far exceeds typical compact multi-effects. A history of BOSS processing is at your fingers, from classics such as the OD-1 Overdrive to modern effects powered by innovative MDP technology. There’s a huge selection of COSM amp tones on tap too, including vintage legends and BOSS original amps optimized for ideal tone and response. Specialized effects like Acoustic Simulator, Guitar Simulator, and others provide numerous tonal options, and there’s even a looper to enhance your practice sessions and stage performances. Portable Tone Partner The quartet of foot-operable features—including the right-side-located treadle that doubles as an expression pedal or wah—offer hands-free operation. Navigating the presets is achieved through the two footswitches labeled with up or down arrow symbols. (Pressing them simultaneously engages the tuner.) The CTL1 footswitch is the special-teams feature of the GT-1B. It’s an assignable switch that can take on different roles: engaging effects, tap delay, or providing a solo boost, just to name three. Stepping on the aforementioned switch and the neighboring “up” button activates the looper, which is then controlled with various taps of the CTL1. External switches and footpedals can also be connected with the GT-1B for expanded functionality.Significant learning curve to really maximize its potential. Likely won’t satisfy analog disciples.

These companies never put adequate resources into their software development and ongoing support, and it's a shame since so much of this hardware depends on it these days. But the GT-1B is an exception in that regard… you don't HAVE to use the computer software at all to get your full use out of it.
