The EO Charging eoMINI is the smallest and simplest electric vehicle charging station on the market. Connecting is easy – the EO Mini Pro 2 is joined to your Wi-Fi when installed, and you connect your smartphone afterwards. It takes around 3 minutes to get up and running, and the app walks you through creating your account. App screens The EO Mini Pro 2 is available tethered (Type 1 or 2) or untethered. If you’re unfamiliar, a tethered charger has a built-in cable, and an untethered charger has no built-in cable, so you need to plug your own cable into the box and then into your car.The EO Mini Pro is approved under the OZEV Electric Vehicle Home Charge Scheme after 1st July 2019 with the requirement for Charging Stations to be SMART enabled, see https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-funded-electric-car-chargepoints-to-be-smart-by-july-2019 for details. Delivery available to mainland GB only, (offshore and Northern Ireland is not available). While this feature may not be relevant if you currently don’t have solar panels it is a nice perk over some other charge points on the market, enabling further optimisation of the charging process.

We didn’t test the solar charging but our electrician says the feature works perfectly and he would recommend it to anyone with solar panels.If you don’t like the EO Smart Home app, you can use your vehicle manufacturer app instead if it has one, turning the EO into a charge point you just plug into. As the electric vehicle market grows and changes there are likely to be rapid changes in EV home chargers and electric vehicles in general. The EO system is a modular system so upgrades and changes are easy. You can easily add more EV charging points at home, to make sure you have enough charge points installed as your home charger needs change.
