The police do not take a real interest in it either. But when she notices other woman's pictures and then sees on the news that one of them was murdered, she knows something is wrong. Finally a cop named Kelly listens to her, she is working a case of a woman who had her keys stolen and it turns out that woman's picture was also in the paper one day. Kelly is able to get herself transferred to the dept that is working the case of the dead woman. Another sweltering month in Charlotte, another boatload of mysteries past and present for overworked, overstressed forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan. The ending felt clumsy. All of a sudden, the criminal makes a silly mistake and can’t seem to fix it, despite all their previous cleverness. A police officer sends a totally unbelievable communication to a victim. Then the criminal seems to become a completely different person. Then, as the cold light of doubt has been ushered in by this personality swap, and the other unlikely events, the reader might start considering whether the entire concept really works… Wonderfully sinister. Had me looking over my shoulder every time I traveled on the tube.”—Fiona Barton, New York Times bestselling author of The Widow for me. I do have to say I was definitely hesitant on reading this one.. considering how much I loved her debut novel. I was a little concerned since I kept seeing 2 and 3 stars from everyone on Goodreads for this one BUT I am SO glad that I decided to read this one!!

Other women begin appearing in the same ad, a different one every day, and Zoe realizes they've become the victims of increasingly violent crimes—including rape and murder. With the help of a determined cop, she uncovers the ad's twisted purpose...a discovery that turns her paranoia into full-blown panic. For now Zoe is sure that someone close to her has set her up as the next target. Accomplished, addictive and thought-provoking - you'll never feel the same about taking the tube again' B A Paris and a minor point, but zoe's boss getting angry about her terrified reaction when he reaches across her sleeping body to undo her seat belt when he is driving her home, knowing what she's been going through, is completely baffling. even if she wasn't already in a state of fear over the threats she'd been experiencing, it's completely bananas that a man she's not even particularly close to would think it was okay to do that. and to then get offended at her outrage and confusion. that's a pretty intimate gesture, and a hell of a thing to wake up to. a grown-ass woman can unhook her own seat belt, and it was an invasive and unnecessary gesture. was it meant to be a time-saver? bizarre. this is the kind of thing that bothers me as a reader - the only reason it's in there is to cast suspicion on him, and it's an inauthentic situation in any real-world scenario. OMG! Towards the end of this book I felt as if I was standing on the edge of a precipice, my stomach chasing butterflies, and my heart beating fit to burst - but forgive me, I'm getting ahead of myself, because there's much more to come before then. I Let You Go was so freaking amazing that I knew I wanted to read Clare's next book. I couldn't wait to get my hands on it!During her daily commute to work, Zoe happens to be reading her local paper and sees a picture of herself in the personal ads section. Confused and a little freaked out by it, she brings it home to show her family, and they convince her it’s not her, and just someone who looks like her. Zoe tries to forget about the picture, until she sees a picture of another woman in the paper the next day and then a few days later that same woman is murdered. On edge, Zoe is convinced she’s being followed. I See You is a fast paced psychological thriller that alternates point of views between a policewoman named Kelly who has taken on the case and Zoe, as she asks herself why her picture was in the paper, and is she in danger? A] well-crafted blend of calculated malevolence, cunning plot twists, and redemption that will appeal to fans of Sophie Hannah, Ruth Rendell, and Ruth Ware.”— Booklist (starred review) Zoe brings this to the attention of Police Constable Kelly Swift, a disgraced/demoted detective who's now assigned to policing the Underground. Another edge-of-your-seat thriller . . . a terrifyingly plausible plot and gasp-inducing ending' Good Housekeeping

She has done it again, she has excelled herself in her writing ability to not just pull you into the book, oh no, you are 'shoved' into it with full force and eagerness, so much so, that its a case of 'one more chapter' one more chapter' and so it goes on until your eyes are dropping. AND Claire you delivered my lovely friend.... with THAT twist. That's the best part... well played well played!

I loved Zoe as our protagonist, and really felt for her as she struggled to decide how much she should and shouldn’t tell her children and long term boyfriend about what’s been going on. Partly, she doesn’t want them to think she’s overreacting, and partly she doesn’t want to worry them. This book went for way too long. I think it probably could have skipped about 75% of the book. This would have fixed all of the pacing issues that I had, and would have keep the tension throughout the novel. Until the sinister events that swiftly unfold. Next day, Zoe sees the same ad, but with a picture of a different woman – a woman whose body is discovered shortly afterwards in north London. She has been strangled.
