Description

Rhubarb and ginger is a fantastic addition to this drink. For a refreshing drink, combine this recipe with a tonic. The flavor combination is right on. As a summer drink, this one will be my go-to choice. So, this is something we will give as an idea into our Boilerman Cocsmu to create a great Whitley Neils Rhubard and Ginger Highball as the HIGHBALL OF THE MONTH FOR AUGUST. Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK says: “We are extremely proud to have received the highest possible accolade for our own brand spirits. Now more than ever, we want to show that low prices don’t mean compromising on quality or taste.” The perfect mixer for Whitley Neill Rhubarb and Ginger Gin is Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic Water. The gin is already quite sweet, so the extra sweetness from the tonic water is a perfect complement. The elderflower also helps to round out the gin’s flavor and make it more complex. Usually, I avoid rhubarb and ginger gins because I find the ginger overpowering, instead opting for juicy rhubarb gins like Warner’s and Whitley Neill. However, I was really surprised at how well rounded the Aldi tipple was, with a tartness from the fruit and subtle spice from the root ginger, one that leaves a tingly aftertaste in the mouth without being bitter or earthy.

Notes of AromaRhubarb-y, sweet, and highly perfumed floral notes fill the air. A citrus-forward note with bright acidity, balanced by a sharp sweetness. The ginger-like warmth lingered. How Do You Drink Ginger And Rhubarb Gin Liqueur? There are a few ways to drink ginger and rhubarb gin liqueur. One way is to pour it over ice and enjoy it as is. Another way is to mix it with tonic water or lemonade to create a refreshing summer drink. You could also mix it with soda water and a squeeze of lime for a more sophisticated beverage. The essence of rhubarb adds a tart crisp edge to a smooth English gin base whilst the ginger extract warms the palate for a full-bodied finish. Extra Ginger- If you're a ginger lover, add a slice or two of fresh ginger to the rhubarb while cooking. This will give the simple syrup additional flavor. Today we did a little „Workshop“ on our August Special Drinks recommendation. Each month we have a Drink of the Month at Boilerman Bars and love the idea of also starting this at MONKEY BAR Cologne. And this time we are thinking about importing a not available Gin for our August specials to Germany. I tried another G&T with Fever Tree, and this got my first attention. Not perfect for my taste, but I could understand why some people would love this mixture. What fascinates me was, that mixing this Gin with the regular Fever Tree (quite rich in sugar) did taste as a Gin & Tonic less sweet than the other ones before. Strange thing: when you do the math, the amount of sugar is the same, but it tastes less sweet.

The gin is inspired by Johnny Neill’s family. “Johnny’s latest Gin evokes childhood memories of visiting his grandparents on their farm.” Sipped, Whitley Neill Rhubarb and Ginger Gin hits you hard with the sweetness. Unlike some other rhubarb gins which have a strong sour component, this one is almost full blown strawberry rhubarb pie with a heavy heavy dose of sugar.Puh, I did not like it the first impression as a Gin & Tonic. I tried it with our Polidori Tonic. Second try: Fentimans Tonic. Not my taste. Third try: Britivic Tonic, not my palate again.
