Power up your devices on-the-go for hours. A reliable power source for camping, van life, and more. Enjoy Nature With Peace of Mind From the top left on the front of the unit there’s the aluminium power button – a short press turns the unit on and a long press turns it off. Then there’s a 12V 10A car cigarette outlet, the 10.8cm touch screen display, and two 230V 2000W pure-sine wave AC outlets. The US version has 6 110V AC outlets. Even with our oversized UK plugs it would have been nice to have had at least one or two extra outlets. And the rubber flaps can interfere with some larger plugs. This UK version is branded PowerOak for some reason – in the US it’s branded Bluetti. If you tap on next, you can switch the beeping off and configure the date and time. It’s useful to have this set correctly for the fault logging. BLUETTI Generator AC200P, AC adapter (including AC charging cable), MC4 Solar charging cable (MC4 to XT90), Car charging cable (car to XT90), XT90 to aviation plug (input), User manual FAQ

I turned it off and on again multiple times. I eventually changed the charge mode from car to solar and for some reason that allowed the wall charger to work. It’s a completely different plug being used to charge from so I don’t know how that affected it at all, but for some reason, it started working after that. You need to turn on the DC subsystem by tapping on the DC icon on the home screen. Starting with the 12V 10A car standard car outlet I wound up the current to the full 10A without any issues – the output on the LCD was around 135W. As I went over 10A the voltage dropped and then the DC output shut off with a DC Output Short Circuit fault not the Over Current fault I would have expected. I want to start this review by allowing Bluetti, known as PowerOak in Europe, to explain about their company. ‘It is a way of life, a design philosophy, our hope for a better earth, a blue sky, and much more. From a single idea – a portable, powerful source of electricity – we’ve built out a whole line up of solar power storage products for adventurers and all kinds of off-grid lives. With more than one decade of experience in the power industry, Bluetti is one of the leading suppliers of portable energy storage solutions (All-in-One Power Storage) for self-sufficient power supply. Extensive quality control, modern design and durable performance make Bluetti, also known as PowerOak in Europe, the market leader in its field. Consequently, we build products to ensure that your power is there whenever and wherever you need it. The company’s long-term approach is to replace conventional gas generators with clean and safe power solutions. Bluetti has business headquarters in the United States, as well as a branch office in the United Kingdom’. As much as the screen is its x-factor it’s also one of its weaknesses. When I first opened up my Bluetti AC200P I immediately started charging it from the wall so I could start testing and playing with it. The wall charger would not charge the system at all! If I have double the amount of solar panels then I can make 700w sooner and later in the day. So rather than only making 350w at 8 am, I would actually be making 700w and not have to wait until 10 am to start making 700w. The same would go for later in the evening. Since I have more panels making more power, I will be able to get a full 700w charge later in the evening.

The Lithium Iron Phosphate(LiFePO4) battery offers 3,500+ life cycles and lasts for almost 10 years (one cycle per day), along with the advanced Battery Management System (BMS) integrated in AC200P monitors everything happening in this device, protecting your device from every potential risk in the day-to-day operations. Solar Solution for Home Applications The power station is portable but only just, weighing in at 26.9kg and the AC charger is an additional 1.4kg with its mains lead. You can see the dimensions of the power station and charger on screen. This is not something you’ll be wanting to move around too often. You can just about lift it with one hand, but generally it needs two hands. The touch screen shows a wealth of technical information but it’s not particularly user friendly and there’s some basic information missing like an estimate of remaining usage time based on current output. There’s also no accompanying app which would have been particularly useful considering how difficult it is to read the screen outdoors. A real-time display shows current, voltage, power, temperature, and charging status with the Intelligent LCD Touchscreen. Users can independently alter the output voltage, frequency, charging mode, etc. The unique “BLUETTI ECO” Mode can prevent up to 50% of wasted electricity loss. It will automatically power down when the output is lower than 50w for 4 hours – just in case you forget to turn it off. Portable Solar Generator I tested the 12V DC outputs with an electronic load tester from Kunkin – the KP184. I’ll have a link down below if you want to test your power station. All these ports are regulated so their output won’t decrease as the battery level depletes. Testing 12V 10A ports with Kunkin KP184 load tester

The one big thing that makes the Maxoak Bluetti AC200P special is its intelligent screen. It’s very user friendly and I love being able to see how much power is coming in from the solar panels.

And there’s one other option for charging your mobile devices, on the top of the unit is a pair of 15 watts wireless charging pads, and these things work great. I was able to charge my iPhone 12 pro, my AirPods pro, and they work flawlessly. But keep in mind, that wireless charging is not the most efficient way to get electrons in your device, roughly half of the energy that goes through wireless chargers is turned into heat. Although I will say this battery is big enough, and it sure is nice to have the convenience of not needing a cable. 3. Design & comparison with other Bluetti units The Maxoak Bluetti AC200P is one of those units! For basic emergency power, it has all the right specs. The battery is large enough to get through a night while running a fridge (80wh), or freezer (80wh) and a fan (70wh) or heated blanket (120w). I know in my off-grid cabin we like to keep at least 6,000wh of battery capacity on our Titan that runs the cabin 100% of the year. The Bluetti AC200P works for small trips to the cabin, but for long-term stays it’s much harder to make it work especially when weather systems come in. The Bluetti AC200P has made quite the splash in the solar generator/power station world. With it being one of the top-rated solar generators, on paper, people have been wondering what the differences are between the AC200 and the AC200P are. But it’s still plenty for many devices like this Chromebook and I was able to draw the full 60W charging the Allpowers 500W power station. Testing 5V 3A outputs
