not the book telling me this doesn’t end well like 20 times and everybody who’s read it telling me it doesn’t end well and me ! still ! hoping ! for ! a ! decent ? end ! WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF But also part of me thinks, this is just a tragedy, and maybe it is. Because my heart is most definitely broken and maybe it just has to stay that way. The start of the book and the ending of the book were very strong. For me, it was the middle that kinda faltered a bit in the writing and plot aspect. The plot seemed to be going in circles and the quest for the stones could have been executed more aptly. I know some of you love the writing in it, and I won't deny it was better than the first book but it still came across as ordinary. It's the characters that were the clear winners for me in this book.
