The best time to use Patch Fix is when the soil temperature is between 10°C and 18°C. This is normally between late March to the end of May or September through to mid October. Ideally, the weather conditions should be mild and frost free. How to sow:

Sprinkle the product evenly on the bald spots: 300 g/ m² on bald spots, or 150 g/m² on thinned areas. Drought Tolerant: The exceptionally deep root structure of 4turf® aids in the search for water and reduces the need to water established grass. Cut out the damaged area of turf in a square, using a half-moon edging iron or flat-bladedspade, then slice underneath itto lift it, to a depth of about 5cm (2in) Rake the patch, remove any dead grass, loosen the soil with a fork and give the patch a thorough soaking with water. Prepare the soil in the base of the square by lightly forking over and working in sometop soil or garden compost, then firm gently with your feet to make a level surface

Speedy germination: 4turf seeds contain more energy reserves for faster establishment and healthier plant development. Bald spots in the lawn caused by e.g. drought, stress, lawn diseases, dog urine, pressure points from e.g. flower pots. Turn the damaged square through 180°and replace it so that the inner, cut edge nowaligns with the lawn edge and the damaged edge is inwards. This restores a strong, healthy outer edge to the lawn In perfect conditions, new grass will start to appear within 7 days, although it will take up to 14 days in cooler weather. Let it establish then cut it at a height of 5cm to 8 cm, making sure you only remove around one third of the new growth. The use of an organic substrate provides a growing medium and protection for seedlings in the early stages of growth. Combined with a recycled nutrition and high quality turfgrass seed, it creates an environmentally friendly, effective solutions for lawn repair.

Patch fix contains a special blend of fertiliser and fine leaved dwarf perennial ryegrass. It can also be used on lawns that get lots of wear and tear, and it is also ideal for over seeding (revitalising existing tired or threadbare lawns) as well as starting a new lawn from scratch. When to sow: Carefully cutout the damaged area with square cuts on three sides, then slice underneath with a spade, aiming to keep it as one intact piece of turf. The piece should contain both the worn area and some healthy turf on the inner side Lawn edges often get damaged by being walked on or by shading from overhanging plants. But a neat, well-definededge makes the whole lawnlook much smarter, so it’s worth repairing any worn areas and re-cutting the edges regularly. Damaged or bare areas of lawn can be repaired by either sowing lawn seed or patching it witha piece of turf dug upfrom another part of the lawn, or new turf if available. The latter gives instant results, but sowing seed may be easier and cheaper if you have no spare turf to use as a patch.
