No One Saw it Coming is a good, solid read, although I’m afraid to say I did see it coming right from the very beginning. Biography: Susan Lewis is the internationally bestselling author of over forty books across the genres of family drama, thriller, suspense and crime. It kept me very entertained and I whizzed through it so it gets a good rating, but would I recommend it? With a solid cast of supporting characters, the author creates a twisty tale set in England filled with friendships, romance, and obsession.

Jack I liked from the start - with reservations - and I never had any doubts about Seb, Andee or Graeme. Following periods of living in Los Angeles and the South of France, she currently lives in Gloucestershire with her husband James, stepsons Michael and Luke, and mischievous dogs Coco and Lulu. She has such a beautiful, infectious smile; her eyes shine with humour and kindness; her skin is lightly freckled and smooth. No one saw it coming illustrates so well that their are secrets in every family but some have a far greater magnitude than others with far reaching consequences.

I was really looking forward to reading this book as it has been a while since I’ve read any of her books. I did not see the ending coming although I had picked up hints that something was not quite right where one character was concerned. Wouldn’t rave about it like others have but I’m guessing that they must be die hard Susan Lewis Fans.

One of the intriguing aspects is a dual storyline that unfolds at the beginning of each chapter, featuring a woman named Blanche. The first half of the book is pretty straightforward, and again, I felt like it read like a book for younger audiences. I don't mean that in a negative way :)) I thought it wrapped up to a satisfying conclusion and would definitely read more by this talented storyteller. With family drama at its heart, Susan Lewis’ No One Saw It Coming is a snappy, compelling crime novel for readers who relish being swept up in the complex, tangled lives of others.

At times there were parts which felt overly dramatised but I’m not sure if that’s the writing or the narrators interpretation. The characters are well written and the interplay feels genuine on the whole (wasn't sure about the Hugo subplot as he was so vile! The majority of the story revolves around Hanna, with occasional interspersions from an unknown character who seems to know an awful lot about Hanna and her family.
