I'm still pissed that we didn't get to see how Minho saved Newt after his attempted suicide (though, I'm not entirely sure if Minho being the one to find Newt is book canon or only movie canon). Once again, I'm convinced Dashner favored Newtmas in this installment due to the pairing's popularity (esp. at the time of this novel's publication) but I'm not complaining... He even managed to add more angst and suffering to the equation (didn't think that was possible, but here we are). Plus: the more lighthearted and humorous moments between them hit hard.
