I think DJ Drama's narration can get a little annoying at times, and I wouldn't have missed him if he didn't show up on the bonus tracks, but he doesn't spoil the whole album. It's yet another impressive outing for an artist whose reign doesn't seem to be stopping any time soon".

After the success of IGOR, Tyler took a solo joyride: “Bought another car ’cause I ain’t know how to celebrate. Clash praised Tyler's "refusal to be caged in by any set sound or genre" and noted tracks "Sweet / I Thought You Wanted to Dance" and "Wilshire" as standouts. Though it does include the guest verses from Lil Uzi Vert and Pharrell Williams, only Tyler himself appears in the video. What A Day" produced by Madlib, this track presents the smooth flow we have come to expect from Tyler on this album. The Estate Sale comes packed with eight new tracks highlighting Tyler’s talents on their own as well as in tandem with other talented artists.A positive review by Craig Jenkins of Vulture concluded with telling the reader to "Look between the many detailed descriptions of Rolls-Royce interiors, beautiful boats, and international travel, beyond the over half-a-dozen mentions of passports," and that they'll find, "A love story". Craig Jenkins of Vulture also regarded the album as a step back into "the cranky, devil-may-care style and attitude of his [Tyler, the Creator's] early days" while also channelling "all the ways he's changed since then". There’s Flower Boy Tyler apologizing to “the guys I had to hide,” while GOBLIN Tyler raps irrevocably menacing bars that mimics his debut tone. Comprised of various labels we know and love at Rough Trade (Bella Union, ATO, Speedy Wunderground, Phantasy, Heavenly, Mute and more) PIAS [Recordings] filter through some of the most diverse artistry to our racks, which we greatly enjoy digging into. Songs like "HEAVEN TO ME" and "WHAT A DAY" make me wave my head side-to-side and just vibe to be honest. Song like "DOGTOOTH" and "STUNTMAN" are so hype and so good calming at the same time (talking more about DOGTOOTH on that calming part). If you loved what Tyler offered on CMIYGL I don't see any reason for you to not fuck with this, it's great and a seamless listen. Revealing that Rocky was supposed to be on CMIYGL’s “CORSO,” “WHARF TALK” makes up for that miss ten-fold. On an album filled with dope lines from a guy who always says it with his chest, "Wilshire" is a rare moment where we feel him holding back. Glad I held off, sound quality is excellent and I can't say I have any records this cool shade of blue.

Admittedly, I wasn't a fan of 'DOGTOOTH' when it came out as a single, and I'm still very much in the same boat now, that's one of the only exceptions I have when it comes to fitting on the original album as to me, it's easily the most "b-side sounding" song on the album. On June 14, 2021, Tyler teased new music in a short video titled "Side Street", featuring himself holding a dog while making out with a woman. On June 22, 2021, Tyler released the album's second single titled " WusYaName" featuring rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again and singer Ty Dolla Sign also accompanied by a self-directed short music video. Fellow Californian Vince Staples rides into “Stuntman” like he’s behind the wheel of a monster truck: “No, you can’t be my girl, bitch, are you dumb?
