Description

It doesn’t get any cuter than this water bottle brush cleaning set. We think it'll look right at home on your counter, so you don’t have to stuff it in a drawer somewhere or establish a hanger inside of a cabinet. But it’s really not about the aesthetics here. This brush cleaning set comes with four brushes of varying sizes nestled inside—all of which help you get the job done better. Silicone is a great material when it comes to skincare. It's not only hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic (which means it won’t clog pores) but it’s also much easier to clean than other bristle types, like nylon. They help remove makeup and dirt more efficiently, and with more oomph than your regular washcloth, providing a much deeper cleanse. Also adept at removing dead skin, cleansing brushes are excellent for anyone seeking a clearer complexion, as they can help to keep blemishes at bay. They’re not a substitute for your cleanser, though. In fact, they’ll help make it more effective, and come with a variety of settings including a massage option, because who doesn’t want to end their day with a pamper? With an 18-inch design, this bottle brush is perfect for cleaning taller water bottles—especially considering the bristles extend approximately two-thirds of the way down the brush. The stiff plastic bristles sit atop flexible wire, so the brush can bend to hit the bottle at all the curves and nooks and crannies. This feature also makes this an exceptional brush for oddly-shaped water bottles and vessels like vases. Still, the bristles are still firm enough to provide a good scrubbing. And, even though the top of the brush is made of flexible wire, the handle is a sturdier plastic to help you get a solid, comfortable grip. It also has a hang hole at the end for convenient drying and storage.

We chose 14 toilet brushes that best represented what is on the market and put them all through the same performance and ease-of-use tests. We asked our panel of 195 beauty testers to trial a range of cleansing tools and brushes for four weeks. We first removed branding to avoid any bias.

For reasons of hygiene and safety, personal grooming products, cosmetics or items of intimate clothing cannot be returned. Unwanted Food or Drink Products - Once supply conditions are broken, there are a number of factors outside of our control that can affect the quality of a product. Therefore perishable goods such as food and drink cannot be returned. When you’re done cleaning, any water on the brush drains down into the storage cup to easily be emptied—no stagnant water sitting to create bacteria and odors. And if it needs a thorough cleaning, you can pop the whole thing in the dishwasher. If there’s any downside, it’s that this brush set is really only suitable for shorter water bottles.

There’s a standard scrubbing brush to get all of the inside edges of a small bottle, a smaller brush for crevices in the rim and cap, and two brushes more suitable for cleaning narrow pathways, like straws. Most people don’t treat their reusable water bottles the same way they would another cup—that is, they don’t necessarily clean them after every use. But for both hygienic purposes and longevity, a water bottle should be emptied and cleaned daily or after each and every use, says Nathaly Vieira, founder of cleaning company Inspire Clean. “This is particularly important for reusable bottles that may have been exposed to things like dirt, dust, and food particles.” Unfortunately, a lot of maneuvering over time can eventually lead to some shaping issues. It’s also unclear if the brush can go in the dishwasher when it’s time for a thorough clean. But at this price point, it’s hard to complain. Overall, the brush provides a great value. To discover which devices are worth splurging on, we called on our panel of 195 testers who tried a range for four weeks to find the best. Are cleansing brushes worth it? Sometimes your soap and flannel just won’t cut it. Give your skin a helping hand by investing in a cleansing brush to help get rid of make-up and grease. Bristles vs. silicone: There are two kinds of brush heads that make up the majority of the toilet brushes on the market: plastic bristles and silicone. While both kinds of toilet brushes will get your toilet bowl clean, most silicone brushes require a little more effort and wrist maneuvering than those with plastic bristles. Traditional plastic bristle toilet brushes are easy to use, clean well and are more readily available at local stores. On the other hand, silicone brushes trap less water in the brush head and can be more durable than traditional plastic bristle brushes. Unlike other bristle types, silicone will stay firm, too – avoiding any fluffiness that often happens with natural bristles – so they're effective for longer. How we test

Just apply your cleanser as usual, wet your brush and move across your face – it’s as simple as that. Water bottle cleaning brushes come in various sizes. That's why you need to be sure to choose a brush that’s the best fit for your water bottle. A brush with a long handle is ideal for reaching the bottom of larger water bottles. The longer handle will also provide more leverage when cleaning the walls of the canister. Our best for larger bottles is the LiKee Long Bottle Cleaning Brush, which has an 18-inch design. We think LiKee’s bottle brush is perfect for cleaning taller water bottles, because the stiff plastic bristles sit atop flexible wire, and the brush can bend to reach all of those tough crannies. Shopping for a toilet brush seems pretty simple, but here are a few things to keep in mind to find the best one for your home. Whether you need that bit of extra oomph when cleaning your kitchen or you just need to top up your floor cleaning supplies on a low budget, B&M has a wide range of high quality cheap mops and sweepers available. On the other hand, a brush with nylon or plastic bristles—particularly those that are stiffer—will deliver more scrubbing power. For the most scrubbing power, look for a brush made out of natural fibers, like boar’s hair. The motions can also have a similar effect to a facial massage (some even have a setting for it), helping promote lymphatic drainage, detoxing skin, while also clearing away dead skin cells, to leave skin refreshed and glowing. You’ll find a huge selection of purpose-designed dusters, including microfibre “noodle” dusters, antistatic options and even specially shaped dusters for blinds. Brush head shape: Germs can get trapped and be forgotten under the rim of the toilet. Look for brushes with a rim cleaner or ones that have a shape that can easily be maneuvered to reach under the rim. Round, bristle and silicone brush heads were the easiest to maneuver in our tests. Cleaning with flat silicone brushes took a little more effort than we would like. This silicone brush has a long 14-inch handle that has no trouble reaching the very bottom of most water bottles. And for those who don’t want to deal with misshapen, shedding nylon bristles, silicone is a fantastic alternative. The silicone bristles on this brush are softer—aka less likely to scratch your water bottle, especially if it’s glass—plus are more resistant to odors and bacteria. The silicone design also makes for a softer, more comfortable grip, leading to less hand fatigue while you clean.

It's important to keep your gadget in tip-top shape by removing the head attachment at least once a week to give the bristles a clean. Even better, replace your brush head every three months or so. How we test cleansing brushes To find the best toilet brushes to clean your toilet bowl, our Cleaning Lab experts researched the most popular toilet brushes available to consumers — everything from traditional bristle brushes to silicone and biodegradable brushes made from coconut husks. After spreading a sunflower butter paste onto the inside of a toilet bowl and allowing it to air dry for 20 minutes, each brush was used to clean the bowl with no additional toilet bowl cleaner (except for the Clorox ToiletWand, which has cleaner built into the scrubbing head). But remember: a vital aspect of owning a cleansing brush is regular cleaning, otherwise you're just moving bacteria around your face – not ideal. Is a silicone face brush better?
