I personally have had the best success with lighter weight yarns #1 and #2. My tries with yarn weight #3, a light weight yarn, were a total fail! I have friends that have had success, but maybe I just have bad karma with this yarn weight. If your yarn catches and starts to wrap on the outside of the inner tube, simply stop, cut the yarn out, and try again!

An i-cord is a sturdy, simple tube of essentially 4 knit stitches. It has infinite applications from handles, to straps to jewelry. And, believe it or not, you can make an i-cord with knitting, crochet AND loom knitting. So let’s review 5 of those i-cord making methods today!

An i-cord is basically a very small tube knit in the round. But because it is so small you can get away with knitting it on straight needles instead of the usual four or five double-pointed needles or circular needles. It’s much faster and a lot less complicated. Hi Norman, I knit my decreased armhole edge with a 2 stitches i-cord.
