anyone who knows me, knows i absolutely hate insta-lust. but here? i literally did not care. they didn't even have sex until like the 60-70% mark, and the build-up to it was perfect. they explored each other thoroughly instead of jumping straight to sex which i appreciated and showed how patient and thoughtful crew was. honestly, this book just wasn’t for me. it all felt wrong and wired to me, and it was actually impossible for me to find any cute moments, because i hated the mc’s, therefore it was very hard to find anything involving them cute. threw her a new years birthday party (her dream was to have this party, but she didn't want to as she thought everyone hates her and fakes being her friend)I genuinely thought I would hate this because of the way the first book turned out and Taz repeatedly telling me this book is shit💀 but I’m so glad I enjoyed this one.

it's a coming-of-age story, especially for our girl wren, who throughout this book goes on a journey of liberating herself sexually and breaking out of the box she has put herself in her whole life, and the boy, crew, who helps her accept herself. also, if a boy ever tries to shove a lollipop into your vagina, RUN. preferably to a therapist or police station. it is not sexy…it is a bacteria infection waiting to happen. and let’s not forget that one of the teachers at this prestigious boarding school is a known pedo/phile, yet no one does anything about it?? The characters, the storyline, the spice and everything in between was executed beautifully. I think what everyone will enjoy the most is how the author brings the title of the book into play. It was one of my favourite scenes and I hope someone appreciates it as much as I did! The virginity of the female lead was one of my concerns before reading. CONS: I wasn't particularly comfortable about the ring scene. I won't go into much detail but I feel like he initially treated it as a trophy and I wasn't a fan of that. However, his later dialogue (at least, for me) made up for it. FOR THE LOVE OF THE LORD EVERYONE I AWARE THE GODDAMN TEACHER IS A SEXUAL PREDATOR AND NO ONE DID NOTHING?!!? Leyes Del Poder is one of the best non-fiction books which was originally published in 1998. 48 Leyes Del Poder is written by Robert Greene who is a well-established American author. Robert Greene has completed his education at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. There... I’ve heard from more than one person that I scare her. Intimidate her. I am everything she fears, as well she should. wren is studious, hard-working, and above all a rule follower. she thinks curse words are vulgar, has never been kissed, and is a daddy's girl. not only that but as a beacon of all that is purity, wren can be judgemental to girls who go off and have sex.

As someone who had her butt grabbed and held on for the exact same reason that was… traumatizing to read… especially when the author made it seem like it was okay because she was into it… 💀💀💀). From the beginning all the way to the very end, this book had me hooked. I'll always be down to read the good girl x bad boy trope and this one did not miss. The thing I love most about this trope is the fact that these characters are more similar than they think. This applies to Wren and Crew as well. I love how Monica Murphy walks us through the character development between these two and that she wrote them in a way that tells us that they bring out the absolute best in each other.
