Carson, Rene (May 23, 2018). "Image and Skybound announce The Walking Dead Day to celebrate Robert Kirkman's long-running cult favorite comic series". Film Fetish . Retrieved May 23, 2018. For those of you who are fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead but haven’t read the graphic novels, let me assure you: you aren’t missing anything. My apologies to Robert Kirkman, but the tv show is a million times better. The show’s characters are more fleshed out and the storylines are much more complex. Most of the time I think it’s a good idea to read the book that a movie or tv show has been adapted from because the book usually gives you a more in depth look at the characters or story, but that does not hold true for The Walking Dead graphic novel. In the comic books, the characters and storylines are the barebones that the tv show does an amazing job of expanding. Otterson, Joe (November 5, 2018). Collected Editions

Overall the book was great. There was a lot of sex, cursing, and actions that should test one's morals. Not enough about zombies, as the book was more about the characters and their relationships/struggles to stay alive for an uncertain future. The book was not linear, which I found to be an added bonus. I get bored easily when it comes to novels, so the frequent change in scenes were pleasant to my reading experience. The season for Walking Dead has ended and my library finally got in my copy of this book. *fangirls* It's difficult to review these comics as they're so fast moving and so much happens!! That's one of the major positives of The Walking Dead - it doesn't really get stagnant. Even when the survivors settle down in one location for a while, there's always new dangers and new characters constantly being introduced. I loved the fact that because the two vary in the way that certain plot points play out, and they change up who dies and when, it made the comics completely unpredictable. I had no idea what was going to happen and it was fantastic.
