Inside the luggage you’ll find the design to be a bit ‘raw’ when compared to other manufacturers that line the insides with fabrics to cover all the screws and bolts… But in Prodigy everything is visible: All handles and wheels can be removed with a hex key or a torx bit easily – and this is of course convenient for replacing any broken parts. It also optimises the space because no space was wasted in hiding the bolts – as they really don’t need to be hidden from inside the case anyways.

There is no exact science to this but you get that ‘feeling’ when you are using it. I have to say that I genuinely enjoyed travelling with my Samsonite Prodigy. At the end of this review, you will know whether the Samsonite Prodigy carry on spinner is the one for you. Large suitcases are 70 to 79 cm or 27 to 31 inches in height. They have a capacity of 55 L up to 140 L. Just imagine how many clothes and shoes you could fit in these suitcases! What is better: a spinner or an upright suitcase? Most of the extra large suitcases are hardside spinners (4 wheels). When travelling with an oversized suitcase, it makes sense that you slide your heavy luggage beside you, rather than having to drag it behind you the whole time. Hardside luggage has the advantage that it's not susceptible to fabric tears and it's more water resistant when walking in the rain. For the digital nomads amongst us, it will also provide better protection for your tablet, laptop or any other electronic device.

This is one of the only worries I have for the luggage. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s well built, well designed, and clearly the Samsonite luggage quality you can expect… BUT. As the luggage looks like something that could be described as ‘hard shell’, I wasn’t expecting the amount of flexibility and the thin material that’s being used… to be so thin! But that being said, it might be a lot more durable than the first impressions I got. And honestly I’d expect it to be as it’s a Samsonite luggage. BUT… It just feels so thin that I have my doubts – for now at least. A good review helps with that decision-making process and a more in-depth review will help even more. In this review, I will cover off the main areas that you need to know about. I will give you some details that you might want to consider and what to look for. We have three ways for you to personalise your large suitcase. You can engrave or emboss your suitcase, or you can add a personalised luggage label to your suitcase. There is no luggage that is 100% secure as we all know, but this does a fine job of limiting the risk. You need a (Samsonite) 4 wheel cabin luggage, mostly for lightweight use such as short business trips

I have to say that the rubberized wheels were a pleasant surprise, they were so quiet. Not only do they look solid, but you just know that there is some serious thought gone into them. Samsonite prodigy usa Samsonite prodigy 4 wheel The Samsonite build was excellent as expected and it has a reputable warranty that delivers too. That alone is worth paying a little extra for.

I guess you can see that I really like this suitcase. I always try and be objective when writing a review but sometimes some products are good and you just want to tell everybody. The super-light ranges like Neopulse and B-Lite have taken buyers away from traditional Samsonite hard-shell cases like these. Things have turned around, now it is hard-shell cases like this one which are unusual! However, the people have spoken…they asked and I delivered. Here is my in-depth Samsonite Prodigy carry on review. Having worked in this industry for many years, I can tell you that build quality is the last thing most people look at. The color, style and design is uppermost in peoples mind…much to my frustration. I can only give my thoughts on it. Since I was buying it to use not just review, I have to say the value was there otherwise I wouldn’t have bought it. In fact, compared to other Samsonite’s, I thought it was pretty cheap.
