Firstly it is a perfectly serviceable scent and does not smell bad. It is the epitome of a shower gel scent. I tested both the EDT and EDP and, to my nose, they both smell almost exactly the same other than the EDP may be slightly richer and woodier (just as a true EDP should be), but the differences are negligible. As soon as I tested this it smelt like any other sporty shower gel. Now, I do believe there is a place in any fragrance wardrobe for a scent like this. If one day you don't particularly fancy wearing a fragrance and just want to smell like you're fresh out of the shower, this will do. This will also work perfectly as a gym scent or for any occasion you just don't want to offend anyone. I work shifts and this would work perfectly when I start a morning shift at 6am and really don't want to offend any colleagues with a loud ambroxan or sweet gourmand fragrance at such early hours. It is perfectly versatile. The top is a king’s crown design, along with the crown printed on top of the K, you can see why this could be called King. However it is called simply “K”, with D&G describing the scent as being for “A king in his everyday life”.

Typically, I don’t think a fragrance’s bottle should have an impact on the review. In the case of K EDP, however, the bottle makes a great metaphor for what’s inside. The silver crown cap and darker blue juice make this fragrance less gaudy at first sight than the EDT. That’s an improvement that lets you know K has grown into itself more in the past year.

How Long Does K By Dolce&Gabbana Eau de Parfum Last?

Where would you wear it? It’s quite a powerful, sophisticated scent so would likely wear it out to dinner/drinks of an evening

And suddenly I was getting a waft of something vaguely spicy in the air. I have these "guarana and chilli" nicotine pouches that I favour, so at first, I thought I'd left the tin for that open - but that was not the case. So, I opened the tin to see if I was somehow smelling it through the plastic... and as my hand was en route to my nose, I caught a whiff of my arm, and immediately followed it with a deeper one. K had evolved, opened up a bit, and in doing so, had become properly intriguing. I received a sample of this in a box with something I specifically requested. As with the other samples that are more masculine, I passed it on to a younger co-worker. He was particularly enthusiastic about getting a D&G sample. He wore it to work the next day and I totally get the excitement. That smelled good! From my testing, the projection and longevity of K is quite average. It projects out from my skin for the first 1-2 hours, then lasts on skin for 2-3 hours longer as an intimate skin scent. You’re getting what you pay for with D&G K, guys – it’s very affordable and that’s reflected in the performance. Is K versatile? OCCASIONS: Outdoor gatherings, office, casual, holidays, vacations. This is an office-friendly fragrance.Longevity – K is an eau de toilette and lasts a good amount of time. I got around 6 hours before I noticed the scent disappearing.

Describe K by Dolce&Gabbana in more detail: It’s quite a robust manly fragrance, but it has a soft edge to it too, ensuring the ease of wear. You’ll make an impact but won’t offend. I can smell it off myself for a good few hours then it will calm down quite a bit, you can top up with a spritz or three a few hours in if you like, as this smell as a whole is not annoying or overpowering at all, its just a pleasure to wear. It is Saturday and a beautiful warm summer day. I'm sitting here right now on a blanket, under a poplar tree on the bank of our home river. The wind is blowing lightly and cooling over me, making the poplar leaves sing. The sun's rays easily penetrate the mighty crown of the tree and throw a great play of light and shadow down on me. While I sit here and enjoy a cool non-alcoholic wheat and the soft sounds of deep house sounds enchant me, the scent of K blows around my nose. This scent is discussed very controversially. For some it is too synthetic, for others too characterless, and others celebrate it. Well, I already liked the original, but hadn't bought it because of its poor durability. Like many other fragrances, the edt is usually followed by an edp. So now also with K. Contrary to most opinions, I'm blown away by the edp and it really has what it takes to become my new signature. Where we can now also come directly to the scent course...Then the whole fragrance rounded up in one note for me: Galbanum. If you ever smelled galbanum, it has this sharp green, but also unripe pineapple-ish juicy note that dries down to a mastic gum/resin note. I do think the body of this fragrance is a fruity twist of galbanum and pineapple. Would be very curious to see an analysis of this fragrance actually, this note is not a "generic" one for sure. Put this in a MFK Gentle "Greenity"(!) bottle as a new release and fragrance connoisseurs(!) here would lose their minds. But at the end of the day, the content is what counts, so let's get down to business. Since it's an eau de parfum and not cologne, two sprayers should be enough for now. This fragrance is much more deep and captivating than I had first thought, and I don't remember enjoying wearing a fragrance in the first week as much as this one. In my opinion, the fragrance is more suitable for young dynamics (or those who think they are :-) ), is not suitable for hot summer days due to its subliminal sweetness, easy to wear in autumn and spring, blessed with a good portion of durability. The Sillage is quite strong in the beginning, but then it diminishes just as much, in my opinion more is possible. Flacon: Nicely made, especially the "lid" is something different, something new.

So here you go, it’s a stand-out because of its complexity (and I guess it opens itself to hate because there a lot to choose from if you’re not a fan of any one note it is offering).

What Do You Think Of K by Dolce&Gabbana Eau de Parfum?

I love it because I love fig leaf. I also love the way all the surrounding notes have been implemented to make the milky woody green fig leaf lean masculine. Great quality, complex, well blended juice. Rides very smoothly and is super wearable! Perfect for any professional environment, but versatile enough for play as well. The most prominent feature of K EdP, to my nose, is a milky, slightly dirty fig note; initially accompained by blood orange in a way that feels like the two notes are constantly fighting for your attention. Soon, the fig note overpowers everything else; problem is, I don't like fig accords in perfumery, the only designer I can more or less like being Fusion d'Issey.
