I don’t have test equipment to give accurate results on this, but the sensitivity of the HD1 definitely is comparable to all my other DMR radios including the TYT MD-380 and Motorola DP4800. A lot of users complained that the audio on the HD1 would go very tinny sounding after a few minutes of use in certain conditions. I tried 2 different hand mics that are made for the HD1 and that are both proven to work on my Retevis RT87. DMR is a response to the growing requirements of companies and institutions regarding security and unwanted data leakage (information has the greatest value). both versions use specific DFU protocol as mentioned above, however it is known, so it is probably not a big issue itself (but CPS sources are not available to add it).

Programming was pretty straightforward with the included programming cable and downloadable CPS software from Retevis. Please, don’t try to use this or any of the other cheap Chinese radios aimed at amateur radio operators for anything mission critical. You can add to or update/edit your existing review's content including the Rating and Time Owned with the Edit button on the right side of the review text body. Apparently, the impedance of the radio is not 50 Ohms, so if you try to use it with any other aftermarket or external antennas then there will be an impedance mismatch, which could cause a lot of power to be reflected back into the radio. I bought the Ailunce HD-1 at the end of June with the intention of using it as my primary H/T radio for both DMR and FM.

I Did some Power tests on the Ailunce HD1 and can confirm that on the 2 meter FM band that I tested I got. In any event, I am extremely grateful to Angela and her colleagues at Retevis for their extraordinary efforts in resolving this perplexing problem. The programming cable, AC cable, charging cradle, wrist strap, belt clip and 1 battery are included in the box.

I use the radio in single VFO mode and have the clock on the other, I like having my screen timeout set to continuous and having the clock always visible is good to have and I have found that it does not affect the battery life much at all! If you hadn't heard of it already, the Ailunce HD1 is a dual band DMR radio that covers 136 to 174 and 400 to 480 MHz. Note: If you plug the programming cable into the computer and the device manager displays "USB-SERIAL CH340 (COM4)", it indicates that your programming cable is a new version.I don't know if the battery actually has that much capacity, but the radio does seem to have excellent battery life, especially if you turn the power down to medium instead of using high power all the time.
