Got this for the bottle design. It's so pretty and the crown is metal and it has a ring part to it that you can wear! I would have loved this as a teen. I had never smelled it before but I am going to assume if it existed before 2016 / 2017 then it's likely been reformulated. It used to contain Lyral and Lilial.

Princess by Vera Wang is a true fairytale fragrance. Creamy, feminine, soft, and innocent. I imagine this scent on a ballerina, on Aurora or Odette, or on Juliet Capulet. It is the perfect fragrance for Juliet from the 2013 Romeo and Juliet movie. To me, this fragrance goes perfectly with the atmosphere of the film; castles and candlelight, beauty and tragedy, the rush of new love, rose petals, climbing vines, youth and hopefulness, warmth and tenderness. This is the perfect perfume for fallng in love. A captivating collection of vanilla ribbons and orange, of waterlilies and rain. I do not care for this as much as I used to. I would never wear this to work again like I used to. As I think it is one that could potentially be a headache-inducing type of scent. It is not a very heavy scent but there is definitely some body to it. I mostly smell light florals, a bit of fruitiness, but more of floral, vanilla, amber, and woodsy notes of the dry down overall. Much later, when it is wearing off, is when I get hints of the chocolate. It seemed to last a decent bit of time and it could roughly be smelled within an arms length of myself. This is an incredibly sexy and intoxicating perfume. I’m so happy I get the chocolate and vanilla cause that’s exactly what I was hoping for. It really does remind me of a princess, as Katy Perry’s Killer Queen is reminiscent of a queen. The note which truly stands out to me is a lovely hot chocolate note; warm, creamy, and inviting. It has a beauty and magic all its own. There is also an aquatic element to this fragrance which only adds to its beauty, like starlight on a lake. It is captivating and magical. I am simply enchanted by this perfume. It smells so beautiful on me, so soft and ethereal that it almost seems unreal, like a dream or a fantasy. My husband loves it too. It is his absolute favorite perfume of mine. So delicate and romantic, enchanting and ethereal.The name ‘Princess’ matches perfectly with its pretty clear cut crystal love heart shaped glass bottle. I don't really like guava, and definitely don't want to smell like it, but if you do, this is the perfume for you. I love the moderate, modest scent, slightly sweet but a bit woody. Can suit even a woman in her 30s. It is comforting and soothing, nice staying at home perfume. But the bottle is horribly kitsch, very childish and doesn't match the scent at all. Marketed indeed for younger women and teens, but not a teen scent on the whole at all, except for a sweet note. Very sad association of marketing teams of "young" with "kitsch", as well. Initial impression: The scent is light and refreshing, reminiscent of the year 2009. However, it took multiple sprays for the fragrance to become noticeable on my skin. I mostly interpret this as a white floral. The other notes are present, but none of them are identifiable on an individual level. This is extremely well-blended. I actually wondered if the lady at the perfume counter was showing me the floral flanker, since I was expecting chocolate and guava, but she showed me the box and it was indeed original Princess.

I'm on my second bottle of this fragrance. To me, the chocolate note is the most recognizable. Although it has vanilla in the notes, I can hardly detect it or it's been combined nicely with chocolate. Otherwise, I'd stay away from it. I have never detected any fruity scent at all. On the other hand, I don't how the florals here actually smell like but there's a scent of maturity mixed in with the chocolate so I guess that's the floral aspect. It's not overly sweet and it's quite a compliment getter. Longevity on me tends to change from time to time so I've rated it as moderate. Many people categorize this scent for teenagers but I think adult women can still wear this too. The biggest con I can say is that its alcohol scent overpowers the other scents as time goes by.

It started off fruity and watery and I was like “meh.” But as it developed it got deeper and then came the chocolate and the florals. Dried down to an intoxicating chocolatey amber vanilla. Personally I think this is for anyone who wants to feel fun, bubbly, but still a little sensual. I also think it could be worn year round. Scents like this one are hard to pinpoint to a season.
