Nonetheless, when thinking back to this book I don't think it is quite as memorable as Saffron the Yellow Fairy. Second, the animals helping them run away were iconic and adorable and Fluffy the squirrel is the best animal addition to the pot at the end of the rainbow. Georgie Ripper was born in London and is a children's book illustrator known for her work on the Rainbow Magic series of fairy books. It's the end of the year and I want my students to learn to read for enjoyment since I've been grilling them all year.

If you like Rainbow Magic, check out Daisy Meadows' other series: Magic Animal Friends and Unicorn Magic! It's based on a little island off the south coast of England that I used to visit when I was a little girl. Under the willow tree, Fern turns the girls back into humans and greets Bertram first, before reuniting happily with Ruby, Amber, and Saffron (who introduces her to Queenie). The plots and themes become more complex in the later books, but this first series was the one that captured my kids' attention. At least Captain Underpants exemplifies characterization, contains humor, has a plot, and follows proper story structure.I also get a lot of good suggestions for new fairies sent in by my readers, and sometimes if they're very good I use them as the basis for a new series.

She worked in a library after completing her education and began writing for children once her own began school. Next, a fawn leads them to the edge of the orchard, where Fern and the girls bid Fluffy goodbye and hitch a ride to the pot on a blackbird’s back. I've always wanted to be able to fly and have wonderful adventures just like Rachel and Kirsty have with all the Rainbow Magic fairies.A tapping sound from the tree turns out to be Fern herself, trapped in a knothole behind a window of ice. In every one of the four books of this series that I read, the two insta-friends get fairy dust sprinkled over them, shrink to fairy size, and grow wings. I got this book from my local library the antrim library a couple of weeks ago and it was super good and now I can’t wait because I am going today to see if there is more Rainbow Magic books:)Really Good! She wears a green jumper and long green trousers which have leaf patterns going along the hem lines of the neck, waist and feet. Fern is happy to hear that three of her sisters are safe, and explains she’d hidden from goblins in the knothole only to become stuck when it froze over.

A line of lights - fireflies sent by the other Rainbow Fairies - appears showing the way out of the orchard, but the goblins have spotted Fluffy and Fern. If anyone has a little one who needs a little magic in their life, wants to read and needs a big creation to be hooked on. Our Reading Den is a place for you and your child to discover and share books, find new authors and explore stories. She also wears light green stretchy trousers with leaf shapes at the bottom of the legs and tan coloured curly-toed elf shoes. The books in this series capitalize on every little girl's desire to be a fairy, every child's wish to be magical.

Just then, a cold breeze blows away the trail of fairy dust, leaving the girls and Fern lost in the maze with goblin voices approaching.

Years ago I had to give my beautiful collection away, now still part of my childhood school where little girls are picking their favourite fairies and playing pretend.
