The 4K release features some top notch picture and audio quality and there’s plenty of fluffy extras with some nutritious info but nothing too deep. The two titans of horror, Laurie Strode and Michael Myers climb into the ring one last time for the showdown of a lifetime… with Corey. The home release boasts over 30 minutes of behind the scenes interviews and deleted/extended scenes, in addition to a very informative commentary track. which may have been the point but was mishandled IMHO) and some weak linkages back to the previous film (seems like suddenly Haddonfield remembered Myers when the night/film before not so much.

But this 3rd instalment OMG what a total piece of rubbish it was and a radical departure from the first 2 films and the franchise in general (for me). Yet one could argue that the greatest harm that has been done to this latest trilogy in the long-running Halloween franchise has been done by those that have created it. The first film was pretty good I thought, the first 20 mins of the 2nd film were also pretty good, the rest of the 2nd film and the whole of this film are just awful, really really bad, such a letdown.Halloween Ends is just another run of many potentially interesting and franchise-reinvigorating takes that simply miss the mark. Cover Notes: ONLY ONE OF THEM WILL SURVIVE - Experience the epic end of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode's (Jamie Lee Curtis) long vendetta as Halloween, Halloween Kills, and Halloween Ends bring the celebrated horror franchise to a close. yet this one rushed to explore its theme of evil transforming so gleefully that it not only forgot what happened in Kills (Myers ended as an invulnerable pure embodiment of evil. All of which was promised alongside paying loving homage to John Carpenter’s original and providing fans with what they REALLY wanted – a good, old fashioned slasher movie, with a body count and bloodletting to match. Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson and is finishing writing her memoir.

Surround usage is pleasing if not quite as omnipresent as it possibly could have been – the club scene is a perfect example of this, with the music being played locked firmly to the front soundstage, only bleeding into the rears and overheads when drama requires it to. Four years after her last encounter with masked killer Michael Myers, Laurie Strode is living with her granddaughter and trying to finish her memoir. predecessor, either, if that matters, though the climax and the dénouement certainly don't shy away from some pretty intense blood and guts. Appropriately dreary and cold, the image is impeccably detailed with facial features, clothing, masks, and gore getting all of the care and attention they deserve. He is also the Moderator/MC of the Live Podcast Stage and on the Podcast Awards Committee for PopCon (popcon. While Green, Turek et al may have gone to great lengths to understand the Halloween franchise itself, it seems they learnt nothing from other similar franchises and their own chequered legacies – Friday the 13 th fans long lament Parts V and IX as being the weakest of them all and why? and yet upon release, the howls of derision that greeted the film from the most ardent sections of Halloween fandom (full disclosure: myself included) let Blumhouse (the film’s producers), Green and Curtis know that they had singularly failed to deliver on any of their hype or on their promises.

Four years after the events of last year's Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson and is finishing writing her memoir. A Different Threat – As Haddonfield evolves to a new era, we examine how the evil within has also evolved. aspect ratio that uses 10-bit video depth, has a WCG and both HDR10/Dolby Vision passes applied and is encoded using the HEVC (H. Surround Sound Presentation: There’s plenty of fun around the room with both creepy ambiance as well as some nice unique jumps coming from the rear and side channels. Video Disclaimer: Screen captures used in the review are from the standard Blu-ray, not from the 4K UHD Blu-ray disc.Yet despite a handful of well executed thrill kill scenes (the opening baby-sitting accident is the best scene in the entire film and shows that Gordon Green can do when he puts his mind to it), the overarching narrative of Halloween Ends is not just a confusing mess (unlike the previous two films, the link between theme, narrative and character here is muddied from the get go – character motivations baffle, dialogue exchanges seem to about face in their meaning mid-sentence and even the simple story arc of key characters are puzzlingly obtuse) but it annoyingly pivots away from the end of … Kills completely (Myers is now a homeless man who can barely stand, not the mythic, invulnerable embodiment of evil he ended the last film as), almost jettisoning Myers wholly from its storyline, replacing him with a new character with no heritage at all and ultimately robbing the audience of the prime reason for this film to even exist. If ever an opening credits font could serve as a warning shot, the use of the Halloween III: Season of the Witch font was it. Because they don’t feature Jason Voorhees (being the main reason – let's be honest, there are more reasons both films somewhat suck). Notorious serial killer Michael Myers (Nick Castle) hasn't been seen for four years since the events of 'Halloween Kills' (2021) and Laurie Strode (Curtis) is striving to embrace a life free from the long shadow of his violent rampages.
