This book was such a great read and beautifully written with both perspectives and filled with little stories and suggestions. I’ve already told all of my friends about it and they can’t wait to give it a read.

We also have Lauren who appears to have no friends (and again, despite her living in the same village it is not clear exactly why nobody likes her). Lauren is a target for Ciara's taunts so she's a prime suspect. From the husband-and-wife team behind social media phenomenon @ADHD_Love , whose viral videos have been viewed more than 200 million times , comes a fearless, often outrageously funny, account of life, learning, and growing with ADHD. With deep dark secrets and twisted webs of lies, Dirty Laundry is everything I want in a book - Desperate Housewives in a small-town setting, each turn in the story even better than the last' Andrea Mara, All Her Fault I’m also confused by the first line of the Goodreads description: “A twisty, domestic suspense debut about a clique of mothers that shatters when one of their own is murdered, bringing chaos to their curated lives.” We already talked about the genre, but the death is also the end of the story. We don’t see any of the “chaos” brought into their lives, no police investigation, nor any fallout of the death at all. Mishti is in arranged marriage with Parth. Lauren is our bohemian mom and girlfriend to Sean. Ciara, our social media influencer (blah), is married to Gerry and is dead and we don't know why or whodunit until the end. I liked the mystery involving this, but not the why.If I'd have one criticism (and I do) is that the book (and the social media) are from the perspective of helping the ND partner function in society and how much the NT partner is doing, how aware they are, how patient, loving and understanding. And although that is cool to see, would have loved to see more vulnerability on Rich's side and maybe more ways in which being in this relationship improved HIS life and what Rox is teaching him. The way is depicted now comes across as a bit unilateral. There is ONE chapter in the book where Rich says being with Rox taught him to sometimes enjoy spending money and indulge in little things. Libri ben scritto per avvicinarsi alla comprensione dell'adhd. Essendo la narrazione di esperienze personali ha ovviamente un peso relativo, ma può dar al contempo degli spunti più che interessanti. Ciara has it all - a loving husband, well-behaved children and an immaculate home. But behind the filters, her reality is far from what it seems. It IS an entertaining novel of domestic suspense, about three women, trying to hide their dirty laundry”. 🧺 And, it was a fun palette cleanser between darker reads.

Of course, my ADHD wife knew exactly why this young woman, and all the rest of the people we met, were crying. It’s almost like they speak the same language, an unwritten dialogue of understanding that comes, ironically, from a lifetime of being misunderstood. She knew why they were crying because she’s one of them.

Lauren is mostly happy, despite being outcast for her woo-woo beliefs and her kids who run naked, wild and free.

I've been following their social media for ages and always found it so funny and heart warming! So just bought the book to see if it is the same 😂 It is. I’d recommend this book for anyone struggling with deep despair caused by the ADHD in yourself, your relationships or your family; it’s full of hope, genuine compassion and practical tips.Made us giggle and helped us forge a much deeper connection with our friends and family with ADHD. A godsend! Davina McCall & Michael Douglas This was a mess of a book, but in a fun way. It isn't the best domestic thriller that I've read, but it was interesting learning more about the intimate details of this small Irish village. 3.5 Stars Mishti, Lauren& Ciara are our main characters and I did not like or care about what happened to any of them, not a one. That goes for the husbands, too. This book was better than I imagined. While I have not had the exact journey as Rox, I found myself relating so much to so many of the stories (and every single symptom). Reading through each scenario brought me SO MANY emotions. It reminded me of many of my own struggles, which reminded me of all my feelings of guilt, regret, shame, and sadness. I found myself forgiving myself once again and releasing negative feelings (that I hadn’t known I was still holding onto) as I read along now feeling so validated and understood. While I’ve gone through the diagnosis and done the work and I’m in such a great place with my life (and have been for years now), it was such a lovely and needed reminder of where I have been, how I have landed where I’m at now, a reminder to appreciate the journey, and insight on how others have been affected by ADHD. It’s such a different experience to read and learn about another’s relatable struggles than it is to be justified and coached in counseling. It’s also the perfect reminder to always operate with compassion towards others. I don't doubt that this book will help a lot of people with ADHD, but for myself (diagnosed with ADHD) and my boyfriend (who wants to understand my diagnosis) this book was just a bit boring and repetitive.

For fans of Big Little Lies! Okay, so I have yet to find a neighborhood stabby I enjoyed quite like I did Liane Moriarty’s take on things, but this is a pretty decent selection if you’re looking for some poolside fun this summer. Bose masterfully creates deeply drawn and utterly human characters in this powerful suspense debut Liv Constantine, The Last Mrs Parrish

And there's earth mother Lauren Doyle, born, bred, and the butt of jokes in their village. With her disheveled partner and children who run naked in the yard, they're mostly a happy lot, though unsurprisingly ostracized for being the singular dysfunction in Ciara's immaculate world. When Lauren finds an unlikely ally in Mishti, she decides that her days of ridicule are over. They share the strategies they have used to reduce shame, improve communication, and find happiness in their neurodivergent household. I’m conflicted about this book! Usually, I feel pretty strongly one way or another, but this book is a bit different. The first 75-80% is about three women in a small Irish town:
