On the night of Samhain, Deirdre and her husband to be were dancing around the bonfire at the joy of their betrothal. Enda watched them with a blade in his hand, as what Deirdre said to him earlier broke his heart so much that his madness became an affliction and he now vowed to murder them. As they danced right next to him, he slit Cullain's Jugular while Deirdre had her head turned, then stabbed her in the chest and breasts, killing her. Immediately after their deaths, Enda was chased down and torn apart limb from limb by a crowd of the enraged villagers. The next day, Enda's eternal soul was cursed by the Chieftain's shaman as punishment for his evil actions. Hill told Fangoria that the film was supposed to be "a 'pod' movie, not a 'knife' movie." [8] As such, Wallace drew inspiration from another pod film: Don Siegel's Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956). [23] The fictional town of Santa Mira was originally the setting of Invasion of the Body Snatchers and named as such in Halloween III as an homage to Siegel's film. [10] Aspects of the plot proved very similar as well, such as the "snatching" bodies and replacing them with androids. [24] Halloween III's subtitle comes from George A. Romero's second film Season of the Witch (1973)—also known as Hungry Wives—but the plot contains no similarity to Romero's story of a housewife who becomes involved in witchcraft. [25] Casting [ edit ]Ted Hollister is an unseen character and was one of Haddonfield's residents. Ted ignored the warning to stay indoors and was shot dead by Alan Gateway and his friends who mistook him for Michael Myers. Michael Myers is the most dangerous patient I have ever observed. [...] He's covering up. This catatonia is a conscious act. There is an instinctive force within him. He's waiting." ―Sam Loomis [src] The night he came home According to the information provided in Halloween (1978), Michael Myers, based on the date of Judith's murder (October 31, 1963) and his age at the time in which it occurred (6 years old), he would have been born sometime in the year 1957.

Michael was one of several horror icons to be included in the 2009 version of Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights event, as a part of a maze entitled Halloween: The Life and Crimes of Michael Myers. Michael's weapon of choice is a simple, large kitchen knife used for stabbing, slashing and impaling his victims. He also employs a rope for strangling people and hanging their bodies on display.

In the first two Halloween films, Michael's iconic white mask was in reality a Captain Kirk mask, repainted and with its features removed. The mask itself was derived from a cast of William Shatner's face done for the 1975 horror film The Devil's Rain.Halloween III: Season of the WItch Film Review w/ Stacey Nelkin". High On Horror. Tommy (last name spelled "Doyal" per the credits) appears in the 2007 reboot, where the character has a similar role to the one he has in the original. [3] The cast of Halloween III: Season of the Witch consisted mostly of character actors whose previous acting credits included small roles or bit parts on various television series. The exceptions were Tom Atkins and veteran actor Dan O'Herlihy. a b c d e Carlomagno, Ellen (October 1982). "Halloween III: Season of the Witch". Fangoria (22): 8–12.Season of the Witch does not feature Michael Myers, and is unrelated to the other films in the franchise. It was originally intended to turn Halloween into an anthology series, offering a different Halloween storyline every year. The only connection this movie has with the others in the series is a scene where a trailer for John Carpenter's original 1978 Halloween is seen on a TV. Besides wholly abandoning the Michael Myers plotline, Halloween III departs from the slasher film genre which the original Halloween spawned. The focus on a psychopathic killer is replaced by a "mad scientist and witchcraft" theme. In the sequel, Halloween II, Michael broke into the elementary school and drew a picture of his parents together with his sister, Judith. He left the drawing behind after he used a butcher knife to stab his drawing of Judith. It was discovered by the police and brought to the attention of his psychiatrist, Samuel Loomis, who briefly examined it. This occurred before Dr. Loomis learned that Laurie Strode was Michael and Judith's younger sister. She has a larger role in Rob Zombie's Halloween. She is still the older sister of Michael and Laurie whose name is Angel Myers. She verbally abuses Michael in several scenes and interacts with her boyfriend, Steve Haley, until Michael murders them both on Halloween. However, Michael's idolization of Judith was transferred to his mother, Deborah, in the remake. Also, Judith's boyfriend mistakenly calls Ronnie White her father. Judith replies by saying he is not her father and that her biological father is in Heaven. Unlike in the original film, Judith was not Michael's first murder victim. She died as a result of being stabbed multiple times with a butcher knife and her murder was much bloodier than it was in the original. It involved a chase scene in which a wounded Judith exits her bedroom and walks down the hallway while Michael follows her and further slashes her until she collapses, dying. Inhuman Endurance: While Michael is able to withstand all of his injuries and not be too bothered by them, he still does appear to be hurt with pained grunts and sighs.
