I would confidently take this shaver on a holiday with a fully charged battery and leave the cord at home. That’s the case with all the other 93xx models, so none of them will work while charging as a safety precaution. The MultiHeadLock function makes it possible to position the shaving head in one of 5 directions, for example to work on difficult areas on the face. These new models are identical to the older Braun Series 9 9095cc, 9090cc, 9050cc, and 9040s shavers, with the exception of a new Titanium coated trimmer and nicer packaging.

In that case, you could have confidently opted for one of the existing, previous generation Series 9 like the 9290cc, 9291cc, 9296cc, etc. Rotary shavers are designed to work with cyclical movements while Braun foil shavers are designed to work with efficient sideways movements on the skin giving perfect control and precision. In fact the whole 93 series is tip-top and represents some of the best foil style electric shaver options out there right now. However, the cleaning reminder will appear annoyingly fast — even after letting the shaver run for a minute, so it’s fairly useless.

I have a method i use, but don’t know yet which aspect of it causes the station to pick the light cleaning. Tip: the newer Braun 94M cassette that comes with the Series 9 Pro and Series 9 PRO+ is compatible with the standard S9 like the 9390cc or 9385cc.
