Accent is on the story, action, and whole bunch of twists and turns taking place that will keep the reader interested to the very end.To complicate things further, she, along with her father and four brothers, lived in Singapore while she was growing up. That said, Kheng stays away from gratuitous cheesecake poses or silly body posture simply for aesthetics. At the time, I was thinking of romance novels, but it could just as easily apply to the first collection of Gun Honey. Written by Hard Case Crime founder Charles Ardai, illustrated by Ang Hor Kheng, colored by Asifur Rahman and lettered by David Leach, Gun Honey is violent tale of redemption, bullets, revenge and love, with again a lot of violence.

Obviously, Tan is rendered as a curvy woman and the artist isn’t shy about positioning Tan to use her looks to her advantage. Also like Normandy Gold, and I believe other Hard Case graphic novels I've read, there is nudity and on page sexual action.

As a Stephen King fan, I had read Joyland and Colorado Kid, both of which are Hard Case crime novels, and as a lifelong comic book fan, I was beyond excited to discover that Hard Case had begun publishing comics as well. There is a sort of realistic dreaminess to the art I can't describe, like watching a modern direct- to- video movie filmed on an Iphone, but filtered through a 1960's European Spy movie filter.

When you’re the best in the world with a very specific set of skills, it’s logical that even governments would want you on their side. They mostly want to give her a job (reminds me of Normandy Gold that also had a federal agency that wanted to recruit the main character, another strong woman) while shaming her about the results of her providing guns.
