Description

A late-night stroll down the mostly abandoned Route 66 in Arizona is nearly the end of Widow as a pair of headlights approaches but instead of slowing, the vehicle almost flattens him.

Jack Widow is submarine-watching near Kitsap Naval Base, outside Seattle, when he runs into an old friend. Admirals, Journalists, politicians, indigenous groups, and even the Secretary of the Navy are there. In the end I gave four stars as I thought that three was being a bit harsh, the stories themselves are quite engaging after all, but if the option had existed I would have given 3.

When he insists her to tell him what has happened that has made her so stress out, the old woman begins to tell her side to Jack. Also, when he is navigating his way through some unfamiliar tunnels and isn't sure which direction to take he decides to go left whenever he comes to a branch - one of Reacher's mottos is "if in doubt, go left". Within a matter of a few days, Jack Widow changes from a high profile undercover cop to a simple, common man. Quickly, Widow grows attached to her and her two sons, but his feelings for her may be more than a simple infatuation. Quite often, he gets bound by trouble one after the other and becomes tired of getting rid each one of them.

With little planning and a lot of shooting, he gets the son and hauls them out of there with minutes to spare. They often go down the drain, but everyone follows steps that seem plausible, at least from their perspective points of view. Unlike Blade's usual style, this book is shorter and focuses on relentless action, making it an engaging and swift read, steering clear of the usual narrative fluff found in the author's works.

This box set contains the first three electrifying thrillers in the Jack Widow series: Gone Forever, Winter Territory, and A Reason to Kill. While crafted by a different author, fans of Reacher often enjoy following Widow's own adventures and story, with Scott Blade's unique contributions to the character. While talking to Jack Widow, Claire Hood hands over a picture of her 6 year old granddaughter and a few moments later, she drops dead at the station in front of Jack. International bestseller Scott Blade fires up the page with thrills, passion, and explosive action in the eighth book in the Jack Widow series. Readers of Lee Child’s Jack Reacher, Tom Clancy, Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp, and Mark Greaney’s Gray Man will love the Jack Widow Action-Thriller Series.

Wanting to drink coffee in peace, Widow can’t ignore his cop senses warning him about a man seated at another booth. This conspiracy appears to span from the most secretive agency in Washington to the mountain ranges in Wyoming. This particular book features the central characters in the form of James Hood, Jack Widow, Claire Hood, and many others.
