But a baby laying under it might get fed up as it does not play long enough unless you press the buttons.

The table is great because our LO isn't standing but we took off the legs and he really gets into it. All Leapfrog toys are educator-approved, child-tested, follow national standards and feature British spellings, phonics and pronunciations. It provided stability and balance, as well as entertaining music that encouraged him to walk while pushing the toy. In addition, the music quality should be improved and the song should be either lengthened or varied to avoid monotony. Interactive play - 14 manipulative features include piano keys, a phone, peek-a-boo door, book page, bead spinner, high-five paw, toy gears and two dangling toys.

Our content is doctor approved and evidence based, and our community is moderated, lively, and welcoming. The volume is adjustable, which is great in theory, but unlike other products, this one can be easily adjusted by kids (who tend to prefer the louder volume! Group Black's collective includes Essence Opens a new window, The Shade Room Opens a new window and Naturally Curly Opens a new window. We also got her a couple of other push walker type toys to try some variety, but she had no interest what-so-ever in any other walker but the Learning Band walker.

We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. I understand it's to keep the traction by the baby as opposed to ahead of them and risking the walker flipping, but I think it should be an option that once baby is doing well enough that you can switch the sides. The setting for the speed are on the wheels closest to baby which means sometimes they get bumped or stepped on during use. The clip on our VTech didn't work properly so the plate kept falling off (Nanny's one doesn't behave this way); on the Leapfrog walker the plate clips off and on from the sides (very easy to do). The only problem with this was that unless an adult was there with him, pushing down on the walker, even though he was an already experienced walker, it would go out from under his feet, and left several bruises on his face until we learned that. The activity centre is great my friend had one and I borrowed hers but my daughter loves it so much I bought her one. In summary, I'd look elsewhere for a walker that provides more bang for your buck, and stick to tried and true Leap favorites like the activity table! Now, I did try to switch the sides so that the dials would be away from him and this is the design flaw - you can't. Packed with learning and development features, this interactive toy easily transforms from a baby gym to a floor-play activity panel to a walker with locking wheels and speed control.

My daughter is clearly enjoying it and said her first french word 'au revoir' after the 3rd time playing with it! It makes for a very interesting review, mainly because Lara and her cousins have been using a version of the VTech walker at their grandparent's house ever since their first days so it is a product they recognise and have grown up with - a challenge for any new product to compete with. The wheels on the Leapfrog Scout and Friends Baby Walker have a small textured strip around them which makes them a lot more grippy and so the movement is far more natural. Three modes play melodies and sound effects; introduce colors, shapes, letters and numbers or encourage physical movement. The large amount of white on the Leapfrog walker seems to detract from the colours of the activities themselves.I bought the Leap Frog Learning Band Walker for my daughter who, at the time, was about five months old. it also features three play modes for listening to music, playing learning games and getting active. I find the music and noises less annoying on the Leapfrog activities - I think the full alphabet song is great but I wish that the a,b,c,d light-up keys were more like the VTech in that they would benefit from having an image association such as ' b for ball'. She loves pressing the buttons and the wheels have 2 settings so she is starting to taking steps with it and the best thing is I dont need to stand behind her.
