This clever and funny inversion on a classic fairytale from award-winning author Bethan Stevens tells the laugh-out-loud story of a damsel who does not need saving! Mouse’s Wood opens amid January’s snows and as we turn the pages we see the months unfold and follow Mouse’s seasonal activities: picnicking in May, collecting berries in September, and huddling around a camp fire in November. It seems every care has been taken, from the flora and fauna that might be discovered through the seasons, to the attire and the feelings too. Your selection was perfect for our children and what really made the difference was your ability to engage with each child, discuss their interests and help them to choose a suitable book based on your extensive knowledge of the books you were selling. You guys were so fab and Dawn was such a lovely presence in the schools - I will absolutely be in touch next time I'm in your neck of the woods. In February, Mouse is wrapped ‘ up warm/ against the winter’s chill’ so that he might stroll in the ‘morning mist’. This exquisitely illustrated picture book with die-cut flaps follows the woodland ramblings of Mouse through the change in seasons. You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot! However, we can peek through the cut out window, and thereafter lift the flap to discover Mouse reading in bed.

A funny and frock-filled story for modern children who don't just want sequins and sparkles on their dresses, from rising star Lily Murray and Waterstones Prize-winning illustrator, Jenny Lovlie. Publication dates are subject to change (although this is an extremely uncommon occurrence overall).

I haven't charted out my visits for the summer term, but I'm sure there are several in the south) and thanks so much for being so fantastic!
