Description

Separate the pups from the mother plant to expand your air plant collection or allow them to grow and clump where they are. This is also a great idea if you have kids and they’re constantly digging in the gravel or throwing it. Grow the fragile pup in bright, indirect light and be extra diligent about its care until it is established. Warm weather and most importantly, dry conditions for the 48 hours after application will give you optimal performance from your Easihold binder. Easihold will bond slate chippings, but because of their size, it would only be suitable for decorative purposes - we wouldn't recommend walking over.

Easihold coats the stones in a thin film, and leaves the stones capable of being penetrated by water as normal. In these circumstances you can mix Easihold with your stones until they’re evenly coated – usually 0. We don’t ever play on that side of the house, but I imagine that would be an issue if we had pea gravel in our backyard! The mixing technique gives you the most robust result - ensuring all stones are coated evenly with Easihold.Easihold is a water based product, and therefore should not be fully submerged in water for long periods of time because it will begin to break down. Stones between 4mm and 10mm in diameter work the best, but even stones up to 20mm can work well if angular and clean. The stones you use don’t have to be dry upon purchase, but we do recommend washing and letting them dry before use, as some new stones can arrive with a silty deposit. Mist air plants every day or so between soakings to keep them looking fresh, especially in winter when humidity in homes tends to be lower.

I think this will definitely keep our neighbor’s sidewalk clean and he won’t have to sweep any gravel off anymore. Try forming an air plant wreath, hanging mobile, or a beach-themed terrarium that plays off their resemblance to an octopus. If you do not have existing gravel we can supply prepared clean and dry gravel in a wide range of colours.S., especially in the mid-Atlantic regional gardening; native plants; wildlife gardening; small space, urban and container gardening and community engagement. Online and Ace app purchases eligible when Ace Rewards member's account is associated with its acehardware. They can be placed in terrariums or attached to anything from magnets to driftwood for creating your own interesting displays using a bit of hot glue or translucent fishing line to secure them.

Easihold is air drying - application of excessive amounts of Easihold will leave the surface wet and unbonded. I’m not sure if it will keep weeds from coming in (they always seem to find a way), so I’ll keep you posted if they do pop on through the pea gravel. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. S., Mexico, and Central and South America, air plants get what they need from high humidity and plentiful rainfall. Even larger stones can be bonded if clean and angular, but we wouldn't recommend for any foot traffic.Over-saturation, caused by using more liquid than the recommended amount per square metre, will leave the surface wet and un-bonded. We get a lot of debris in our backyard from all the trees in the nearby woods and leaf blowing would always knock the gravel around. The average lifespan of an individual air plant is between two and five years, depending on the type, propagation method, and level of care—but a single plant can produce enough offshoots (or pups) to live indefinitely. Apparently, it’s used to lock mulch in place so it doesn’t get messy or blow around when you use a leaf blower. Air plants look great all on their own or in groups where you can display several varieties together.
