I can understand from her perspective that Cal continuing to drink during the majority of the book didn't help. Final Offer is the final book in a series of spicy standalone novels featuring three billionaire brothers. This is such a bittersweet goodbye (and I absolutely cried finishing Final Offer) but nonetheless it ended perfectly and I have no complaints. She never once stood up for Cal when members of the town gave him the cold shoulder or were actively rude such as Lana's best friends. In a flashback, Lana was gonna go on a date, Cal was pissed and told her to kiss him as a dare and it was her first kiss.

Lana being there for Cal but knowing she deserved better, and Cal working to be better so he could be the best man for her had me so in my feels.I love how each book was around each of the Kane brothers and how they grow into something they never thought they would and to find love!

the tropes were the very basics of the story to the point where when a friend asked me what tropes were in the book, it took me a few minutes to reflect on them because the book didn’t rely heavily on the tropes at all. But how she eventually 'overcomes' it isn't really discussed, and as someone who grew up with immediate family members who were addicts, it would take more than a few months to trust again fully. He doesn’t tell her about the inheritance since he doesn’t wanna let his brothers down but he feels guilty. all they done was treat cal badly and excluded him simply bc he left and broke alana’s heart, holding a 6 year grudge while he was struggling w addiction drove me crazy. you think being a second chance romance there would be a slight grovelling storyline, but it was giving ✨nothing✨ you would expect lana to make cal suffer before taking him back, but nope, he comes back into her life by swooning his way back in, plays w her kid and she folded like a cheap lawn chair just bc she was horny. He was in the attic and fell cuz he’s drunk and Cal apologizes and promises not to get drunk around her in the house. I didn't find her charismatic at all,on the contrary, she's boring, unbearable, she wasn't funny at all no matter how much the author described how Cal laughed all the time, I didn't even lift the corner of my lips even once. Once there though, Cal has to face the damage he caused Lana and the feelings he still harbors towards her, as well as the newfound love he has for her five-year-old daughter. After reading Terms and Conditions, I was hopeful that Cal will get a better story, Declan was good but Cal was the charming one. And through all of this it was sad to see cami (Lana’s daughter) was kinda stuck in the middle of everything.

I’m so glad we see Declan apologizing, he’s even seeing a therapist because of the anger issues he had with Iris in the previous book. The way Cami acted like she didn’t know how much the money was until Lana proved Cal wrong was too funny, Cal thinking she’s a little shit LMAO. second chance romances will always be one of my most favorite tropes, and love stories like this are why. These are just a few of the similarities that caught my eye when I found Every Summer After by Carley Fortune as I was hunting for books like Final Offer. After submitting a drunk proposal criticizing Dreamland’s most expensive ride, I should have been fired.
