I can’t thank you enough, this book, I just loved everything about it 🥺 Laura Taylor Namey is, with every book, becoming one of my favorite authors ever! lately, I have been OBSESSED with England and Europe in general, so this definitely helped my need to travel grow even more. Publication information is for the USA, and (unless stated otherwise) represents the first print edition. Seeing Spence here, instead of in Miami when he’s visited with his wife and son, makes me realize how much his entire look blends into his brick-and-mortar inn.

Namey’s deal was brokered by Natascha Morris at The Tobias Literary Agency and Andrew Deane at Industry Entertainment. The technical storage or access is strictly necessary for the legitimate purpose of enabling the use of a specific service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user, or for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network. The actress, who also recently signed on for Gulfstream Pictures’ motorcycle racing pic One Fast Move, is otherwise best known for her work on the Nickelodeon series, Kally’s Mashup. And it was this, the first glimpse of my distant family member at the airport, that made my journey even more surreal than when I boarded my flight. Through the power of baking and delicious Cuban cooking, this story made it especially clear at how food can help one heal, but also bring people together. A white UM t-shirt may have provoked my run, but my flight to England might as well have been booked by one Pilar Veronica Reyes.

I think it's been filmed for more than a year, and we still don't know when it will be released, nobody says anything, in fact I think it was filmed before Heartstopper season two was filmed.Find a seat in the parlor while I fetch the tea Polly made for us, Cate says and gestures to the archway before scooting off. Worried about Lila's mental health, her parents make a new plan for her: spend three months with family friends in Winchester, England, to relax and reset. The Wallaces don’t comment on my hibernation, and I find meal trays on the kitchen counter—bless them. Cozier than a hand-knit gray cardigan and richer than Abuela's pastelito recipe, Namey takes you from Miami to Winchester, and leaves your heart belonging to both. She gets her chance to show off her baking skills in the kitchen, gets a whirlwind tour of all the small town has to offer, and makes connections that make her feel warmer than the Miami heat.

Lila is an almost-18 year old Cuban-American girl who has had three really devastating things rock her life. In the beginning you can understand her frustrations in being forced to leave her Miami life and her cherished family bakery. Lila shows her feelings through food and you can tell she really enjoys feeding Orion and his family, getting a chance to share her knowledge and passion for her Cuban cuisine but also adapting some of those recipes to also include English flavours and combinations. And while I think my expectations were a little too high as I kinda got a little disappointed with this book. I thought this was alright as well (expect this word a lot because I'm so tired I can't think of anything more creative) like I still didn't really care. I adored this sugar-sweet novel that made me laugh, cry and wish on a happy ending for a girl with big dreams and a star-named boy.
