Plot is good at start, terrible later. We follow a story of Azusa an mc that was a king of the school, prideful, arrogant and a ruler. He gets degraded by his former loyal dog Karino who becomes the king, Azusa becoming a Joker aka the lowest. Inside of school caste system is what rules and we see people repeadetely getting fed up for not following it. It had a few faults, some unnecessary scenes, and is a clever concept that I'd like to know more about. I want to see Azusa grow strong again, to get his feet under him and figure out what he wants. I want to find out more about Atsumu and Kuze. Can Karino be redeemed (if that's even the right word?) and admit how he feels about Azusa? Will Azusa forgive him for being an utter, complete, asshole? Natalie (in Japanese). May 17, 2019. Archived from the original on June 9, 2020 . Retrieved April 10, 2020.

Honestly, this horrified me. Karino's use of his own power to upend Azusa's life was terrible, and it's all a game to him. He truly doesn't care. To preface my situation: I randomly started reading this because the synopsis sounds SUPER rad and interesting, but little did I know that this is a yaoi. I don't really enjoy reading or watching that kind of stuff. I enjoyed the Sunstone Vol. 1 series a lot (which is lesbian BDSM), but something about yaoi and yuri has just never really jived with my tastes. This wasn't an exception. However, the yaoi was NOT the main problem of the book. Natalie (in Japanese). March 1, 2019. Archived from the original on April 11, 2020 . Retrieved April 10, 2020.I was super nervous about reading this series. I put it off for a LONG time, because - although the premise sounded super-cool and intriguing - I just knew it would be non-con. The blurb sets you up for that, but I wasn't sure if I was ready to dive into another yaoi that uses the (and there's really no other way to put this) convenient plot-twist of rape to get a couple together. BLUEに、次号は高野ひと深を特集". Natalie (in Japanese). April 25, 2017. Archived from the original on April 11, 2020 . Retrieved April 10, 2020.

THE CHARACTERS- while not the worst, the characters are complete archetypes. karino- rapist seme, azusa- "badass" straight uke , kuze- the nice romantic seme(subverted to overprotective seme), kuskabe- nerd uke and so on... You may find cliches fun, but since yaoi in genrel has many cliches in a medium that is nutritious for having many cliches, the bare minimum should be to not have them seen like cliches. Oh, did I mention that the character designs are kind of attractive? yeah, its not that their concept is bad, Their story development on paper isn't the stupidist thing ever, it is just that i cant take their story and suffering seriously if i am supposed to have a boner reading this. Ressler, Karen (September 19, 2018). "Japanese Comic Ranking, September 10–16". Anime News Network. Archived from the original on December 16, 2019 . Retrieved April 10, 2020. I am really interested in how their relationship will progress, and the rest of the series is actually worth reading just for their parts. Caste Heaven ( Japanese: カーストヘヴン, Hepburn: Kāsuto Hevun, alternatively titled Heaven of School Caste in Japan) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Chise Ogawa, the yaoi pseudonym of Shigeyoshi Takagi. It was serialized in the monthly yaoi manga magazine Magazine Be × Boy since March 2014. A mobile game based on the manga was released in 2019 in Japan.Later on, the final grades of the second semester are published outside of the classroom: while Tatsumi is still at the top of the 3rd year, Karino doesn’t seem to be in the list of the 2nd year, which means his grades dropped. Karino is called by the teacher, who tries to understand why his grades have fallen. Karino replies he hasn’t been very well during this time but he’ll work hard to make up for it. The characters are very typical of any high school manga characters. You’ll find the the eccentric, the calm, the intellectual, … All of them are very charming and you get completely addicted to what will happen to each of them even though they might not be the main characters. Unfortunately, there are so many characters and they have some ressemblances it sometimes is hard to make the distinction between all of them. On the other hand Karino is gross as shit, but the story is so well written that you will end up liking him so much and he is deffo one of my favorite characters. Crazy, but it is what it is.
