The Star Wars x Pandora R2-D2 Charm (799248C01) is one of three dangle charms in the new Star Wars x Pandora Collection.The fact that the eponymous Mandalorian does not get a Pandora charm but The Child does shows his star status (Pretty please Pandora can we also have a Mandalorian helmet next time). The Star Wars Logo Charm is also available in silver and black enamel for those who prefer a more monochrome look. The branded Star Wars logo that we grew up with adorns the clasp of the iconic Pandora Moments Snake Chain Bracelet. is not a movie quote but perhaps a references to the fact that Leia escaped and helped organise the destruction of the Death Star and her captor Moff Tarkin. The Star Wars x Pandora R2-D2 Dangle (799248C01) hangs at the centre of the bangle with four Murano charms scattered around him.

Artoo’s industrial and metallic style is achieved using a combination of the Ribbed (790163), Lace Floral (791011), Clear Sparkling Row (791972CZ) and Clear Pavé (791817CZ) Clips. This is a beautiful charm, and although I have complained about the amount of Button charms that Disney have pushed out, this one is thoughtfully and beautifully presented. While electrical cables and components are illustrated with the Sparkling Lines / Galaxy (791388CZ) and Blue Galaxy (796361NCB) charms. Although I have used the the Dainty Bow Bangle (590724CZ), this design would work on any version of the Pandora Moments Bangle (590713).All three charms have matching bales which are decorated with lightsaber blue cubic zirconia stones set into pretty starbursts. The only thing I would have preferred is for him to have been holding his cup of tea as he was seen doing in Chapter 4 of The Mandalorian. I think the helmet motif works well as a charm which is why I would like to see a Mandalorian helmet or Boba Fett’s helmet as a charm in the future. Referred to as a walking carpet, flea-bitten fur ball, hairy beast and a fuzzball I think Chewie is my favourite character charm from this capsule collection. The oxidised fur is beautiful, the brown enamel bandolier is tastefully accentuated in a dark brown enamel.
