I had a great time at Jensen’s; lots of interesting information about the history of gin and the story behind the founder. I was bought this as a Xmas present and was a bit dubious as I have found this type of thing can be a bit disappointing - but not this one! Fentimen’s floral flavours work beautifully with our juniper and citrus notes, creating a crisp and refreshing drink. Perfect balance, a lovely mouthfeel, and a modernized classic botanical expression make it an intriguing gin in the sense that it-could-have-been-made-like-this-over-a-century-ago sort of way. Key to the recipe is the absence of contemporary botanicals and the focus is on a balanced, intricate botanical mix redistilled with neutral grain spirit.
