PLEASE NOTE: All services are normally delivered within 48hours but this is not guaranteed as we cannot be held responsible for problems beyond our control. This Dwarf BP-6 has been fitted with dual line clips. Not only have these line clips been manufactured with Nash’s ‘Spot On’ technology, to ensure they are completely line safe, but it also allows you to mark two points at a time – perfect for multi-rod setups. With four plus one roller bearings in the internal mechanisms of the reel, the Nash Dwarf BP-6 is a smooth operating machine. This enables you to be able to crank in all the kinds of fish you’d likely come across in the medium sized waters in the UK with ease. The CNC power handle also aids in getting maximum leverage when you need it the most. Whether you choose a small, compact reel or a large, heavier reel will largely come down to what type of fishing you will be using it for. For float fishing, the likelihood is that you will not be casting far out. As such, a smaller, more lightweight reel will be the best choice. Closed faced reels tend to be easier for beginners and especially children when learning the sport. There are less of them around though and tend not to be the best option for longevity and can also limit casting distance and accuracy at times.

When float fishing, you’ll want to go as light as possible when it comes to the line. Subsequently, it has never been more necessary to be able to push it to the limit when it comes to pressuring the fish. The best way to get every last ounce of pulling power out of your rod and reel setup is an easy to use, and ultra-fine, drag control. We will make every reasonable effort to deliver your products safely and in accordance with any specific delivery instructions that you give us however we will not be liable for any delay, damage or loss as a result of complying with such specific instructions. Depending on your rig and setup you may find that your line spins on the retrieve. Knots and tangles are both things that will destroy bait presentation (and lose you fish). The best float fishing reels will allow you to reel in twist-free.

Most products are covered by a 12 month warranty provided by the manufacturer. Please note wear and tear is not covered by the manufacturers warranty. Some products have longer or shorter warranties. These products will have the term stated in their description online. The gear ratio of the Nash BP-6 stands at an impressive 4.9:1. This attribute showcases the reel's substantial power, with every turn of the handle delivering effective results. The handle, precisely CNC machined and ergonomically designed, maximises comfort and allows for extended periods of fishing without hand fatigue.

The innovative Dual Spot On line clips enable unparalleled casting accuracy, allowing you to land your bait in the same spot repeatedly. Combined with an oversized line roller that minimises line twist, each cast becomes more accurate and efficient, contributing to a more successful angling session. PLEASE NOTE: (Size restrictions do apply, please see Royal Mail webiste for further information.) All Prices are Inc Vat The drag (sometimes know as the clutch) basically allows line to be released from your reel when a certain degree of pressure is applied. The amount of pressure required to release is determined by the setting of the drag. What is always important when choosing the best float fishing reel for your circumstances is balance. A lightweight setup with a light float rod with a light float and light line will better be balanced with a light reel. The same then goes with the contrary. Front Drag vs Rear DragSo when it comes to choosing a float fishing reel you are looking at a few options. Do you want a closed faced reel or an open faced one? Do you prefer a front drag or a rear drag? Do you want a lightweight, small reel or a larger more heavy duty float fishing reel? Open Faced vs Closed Faced Reels The reel is equipped with an aluminium spool, which has been designed with long casting in mind. This means that you’ll be able to comfortably hit the furthest points in all the mid-sized venues up and down the country. The BP-6 boasts fast action multi-disc drag, which allows you to switch between free spool and fight mode in a matter of moments. This means you’ll be able to capitalise on even the most delicate of takes with ease. The clutch on this drag enables ultra-easy adjustment to, ensuring you can fish with the kind of precision you require. They must be at least 4 or 5 years old and still look and feel like new, and perform as smoothly as the day I bought them having received no maintenance whatsoever. One of the reel's defining features is its fast drag. A single turn of the drag knob is all it takes to shift from free spool tension to full fighting drag, providing anglers with seamless adaptability in ever-changing fishing scenarios. This is particularly ideal when battling with hefty carp or other strong-willed fish, giving you the upper hand during the most intense moments.

Using float fishing tactics with a pellet waggler is becoming more and more popular in the world of coarse and carp fishing. This is even more so on a warm summers day when the fish are up in the water in a feeding frenzy. As such, the question of what is the best reel for pellet fishing often gets asked. I hope that makes sense? A lot of what I say doesn't but I do know what I meant in this particular instance lol! Think about it. A huge baitrunner, even when paired with a really great float rod, would be slightly mismatched. The best float fishing reels will be light enough to pair up with a match fishing rod without making it cumbersome or too heavy. There’s a good chance that you will be using a sinking mono when float fishing. This can sometimes have a slightly larger diameter. If you are filling a spool, this soon adds up. The best way to counter this, while still ensuring that you have sufficient line to battle the fish is to make sure that you have decent capacity on your spool.

In all honesty, the main impact a reel choice would have for any type of fishing is with balance. As previously stated, balance is key for all your fishing gear to work in unison. If you are fishing the pellet waggler for carp you maybe using a more heavier duty rod than a standard match, float rod.

At the heart of this reel is its aluminium long cast spool. Engineered for smooth, far-reaching casts, it offers anglers an undeniable edge on the water. The reel facilitates a clinically precise line lay, thanks to the Level Wind feature, effortlessly aiding in reaching those elusive spots, often teeming with fish. This fine-tuned precision drastically improves your catch rate, turning potentially difficult fishing excursions into fruitful and rewarding endeavours. There are a host of manufacturers out there all vying for the top spot. Shimano reels have a great reputation, but they may be a little on the pricey side. The best float fishing reel doesn’t have to break the bank however, it is how it performs that matters. Up until recently I had used their predecessors (Regal Z) and am now on the slightly "better" Daiwa Emcast models (very similar reel, just a few more bearings). T he main difference between an open faced and a closed faced reel is that the line is exposed with an open face and encased within a closed face. In a closed faced reel the line passes through a hole in the casing and when you cast you press a button to release the line.I have never had a problem with any Daiwa reel, and in fact passed the Regals on to my daughters boyfriend who is just starting out and he is absolutely delighted with them. The NashDwarf BP-6 reel is the middle sized reel in the BP range and has been designed to balance perfectly on the Nash Dwarf rod series. Combining the performance of a big pit fishing reel with technology of a micro reel, this BP-6 is ideal for all your medium range carp fishing, as well as a variety of floater fishing work.
