Sonically, I recommend the Letshouer Z12 to those looking for the most exciting presentation. For a slightly more balanced tuning with the typical planar speed and resolution, the 7Hz Timeless are a good option. In practice, the revamped nozzle filters don’t really change the tuning. The S12 siblings sound highly similar, and one would be splitting hairs to hear a significant difference in A/B testing (well, unless you have golden ears). The S12 PRO is resolving, crystal clear and transparent in the mid-range with a natural voicing that is combined with the already excellent bass performance to make for an immersive and realistic listening experience perfectly suitable for classical music and not only. The rounded shape perfectly filled my ears, and when paired with the right tips, the S12 Pro gave me a very nice experience. To be fair, they aren’t as cozy as a semi-custom fit could be, but I’d still rate them a solid 8 out of 10 in this aspect and I’d place them above all the other models I’ve reviewed this year Isolation

No harshness up here and just a perfect example of good tuning. Treble sensitive should be able to tolerate this well. Please keep in mind that the opinions expressed in this review are subjective and based on my personal experience with the unit. I encourage you to try the product yourself to form your own opinion. The rear surface of LetShuoer S12 Pro features the slightly angled sound nozzle and one of the two vent holes, which is part of the rear acoustic chamber.

Staging and imaging are similarly average on the Timeless, though center imaging is even worse. The smoother treble helps the Timeless avoid fatigue in the long run, even though both IEMs exhibit planar timbre. Which Planer Magnetic earphones deliver for you? Planar drivers are extremely capable drivers and there is currently an avalanche of Planar earphones on the market. I had the pleasure of listening to the S12, the original Letshouer planar earphones, lent to me by a kind friend. Good fun! Do the S12 Pros deliver? In the area of technicalities, the S12 Pro have above-average imaging, instrument separation, and layering. Micro-details are decent enough but not class-leading. The soundstage is unfortunately bang average and sounds in-your-head. My idea of the S12 PRO's timbre is its restrained and realistic nature. As I think its tuning is quite good, without seeming bright or dull to me, I think it has a neutrality that holds a bit of warmth. Overall, I find the timbre inoffensive, I don't think about it, nor do I judge it. It's just its timbre. And that can be a reference. I am left with the idea that things sound as they should, to a fairly large degree.

Fits snugly and comfortably in my ear, but only after getting the proper angle to ram it in my ear. I have experienced multiple times where the ear tip will just come right-off if not inserted in a specific way. Great planar release without the planar downsides(for the most part). The S12 Pro is a great recommendation for those looking for a more lean and technical sound that still wants to have something that sounds quite natural and not something with an audible metallic sheen ruining the presentation. This swappable concept enables the S12 Pro to be paired with a myriad of balanced and single-ended sources. Also, this theoretically should decrease wear-and-tear for the 2-pin connector on the shells, as one does not need to keep unplugging and plugging the cable. A 2-pin connector is always welcome in my book, as I’ve had bad experiences with failed MMCX connectors in the past, especially with frequent cable changes.

In terms of negatives, the S12 Pro may be a tinge bright for treble-sensitive folk, and vocal and midrange lovers might need to consider alternatives due to a depression in the lower mids. This is one of the problems I have on the S12 Pro that greatly influenced my experience with it. Despite being a universal fit, the overall shape of the S12 Pro doesn’t really sit well in my ear.

The Timeless are less V-shaped than the S12 Pro, and the former are less bright, with not as deep sub-bass extension. Tonally, the Timeless are slightly warmer. In terms of quality, bass texturing is pillowy and sometimes can sound undefined, but bass speed is lightning fast and can cope with complex bass movements. There’s just a hint of mid-bass bleed, but thankfully the bass does not encroach much into the midrange. Midrange COMPARISONSLETSHUOER S12: Of course, why shouldn't we compare it to the OG S12? When it comes to the design and physical aspect, the S12 PRO is like a Copy + Paste of the original S12 and doesn't deviate much from its roots, it only changed its color from titanium silver to Corsican Blue . The sound is a bit more refined on the S12 Pro removing that excessive treble spike. Both set are still warm overall, and technicalities are almost the same. The S12 Pro’s low-end focuses on the mid-bass, with just moderate sub-bass extension. Bass is north of neutral but not at bonafide basshead levels. The faceplate of the S12 Pro shows a relative clean surface that has a slightly protrudes area near the top, where the front acoustic chamber is located. Some innovative CHI-FI companies even attempted to fuse planars with conventional drivers – the TRI I3, I3 Pro, Raptgo Hook-X, and Kinera Celest Gumiho are cases in point. Regarding the latter, there’s some controversy about whether the drivers used in the Celest could be classified as legitimate planars, but that’s a tale for another time. The 2-Pin connectors do have a metal housing in blue color that Left (transparent) and Right (red) color indicators. After a slight edge, the rim is also rounded and the line separating the two sides is visible. There is another hole in the centre of the inner face. Despite the vents, i solation is actually above average, and these would make for a good commuting pair of IEMs. Comfort The extra detail comes at the cost of fatigue on the Z12, whereas the P1 Max can be listened to all day long. As long as you can handle the bulky shells, that is.
