Fluxx is a simple game at heart; you have a hand of cards, on your turn you draw a new card and play a new card until someone achieves the goal. But, the rules change throughout the game with cards changing the number of cards drawn, played and even held in hand. But the rule changes don’t end there, other rules can be played the turn the game around, upside down and on its head. Fluxx, the card game that has taken the world by the scruff of the rulebook, thrown it away and literally re-wrote all the rules. There are now more versions of Fluxx out there than any one person could hope to own, but that won’t stop anyone trying! One of the latest versions is for the fans of the Joss Whedon TV series, Firefly. Our graphics team did some of their visual wizardry and Andrew Haught, one of the original Firefly Adventures writers, lent his expertise to make this the best damn rulebook in the verse. Surprisingly good expansion, for being so small.Snap Points: Added snap points to ship cards so that fuel, cargo, etc snap to the correct location. This was a BIG point of frustration that we have fixed.

Firefly, the popular Fox television series created by Joss Whedon, comes to life in a new boardgame from Gale Force Nine. Compelling characters, great storytelling and an evocative universe have made Firefly a fan favorite for over a decade. Now fans of the television show and board games can agario chart their own course with Firefly: The Game. The game is fairly weighty for a TV show tie-in. It has a complexity rating of 2.95 out of 5 on Board Game Geek so comfortably in the medium weight category. There are a fair few mechanics to work around that can feel a bit overwhelming at first but once you’re used to how the game works then it will become second nature. Size & Scale New ship. The end game goals can vary from getting a certain sum of money or completing a big ‘misbehaving’ mission. This offers a nice variety dependent on your of your group’s preferred playstyle.

Unification War is the last of the community created jobs that won our creation contest! This mission was created by Roberto Moralejo is a mission that sees you recreating the famous battle of Serenity Valley as the men of the 57th Independent Ground Brigade. John-Paul dives into the two new expansions: The Respectable Folk set includes companion Inara Serra and preacher Shepherd Book while the Wanted Fugitives set includes physician Simon Tam and the gifted River Tam. Each potential new Crew Member adds new skills and abilities to your adventures. Each Crew Expansion comes with four Crew miniatures (in both Casual and Heroic poses), two double-sided Crew cards, ten Equipment cards, two new Jobs and the box bottom also doubles as a new building. Get creative and think of the dream jobs you have always wanted to play with the crew of the Serenity. You can use content from the two expansions Respectable Folk and Wanted Fugitives, as well as everything from the base game of course, to create your ideal job. Over a decade ago, a little known TV show premiered on the FOX network called Firefly. As any fan of the show (Browncoats as they are known) can attest to, this sci-fi/western TV show was completely mismanaged by the network until it was canceled halfway through its first season. To say the show has gone on to become a cult hit would be a gross understatement. Firefly has spawned a loyal following of Browncoats that any TV show on the air now would be drooling to have. The anniversary release also swaps out the original board game’s standard pieces for some deluxe components, most notably 15 hand-painted resin ship miniatures to represent the vessels flying around the system. That whole damn ‘verse is depicted on a new neoprene mat, with custom ship dice also among the upgrades.

The 'verse is a big place and there is always another job! Over the next few months we are going to start working alongside the community to create more missions for Firefly Adventures Brigands and Browncoats.
