Although most of the PlayStation 2's attempts at creating innovative equipment like the EyeToy fell flat, there were a few that performed well; one of which is the Buzz! Buzzer.

Type of video game console peripheral Multi-tap also refers to a text-entry system for mobile phones. If you have already verified that your model multitap and your model PlayStation will talk to each other then you're ready to follow the steps below (modified from an eHow article). If you haven't verified this, or aren't sure how, open a new question with the model number of your Playstation and information about the multitap you have, preferably with picture. Many video game consoles have made an undeniable mark on the industry, but the leap forward that came with the PlayStation 2 is unbelievable. The Sony console brought with it many impressive features and what’s largely considered to be one of the best libraries of games for any console. Gantayat, Anoop (June 8, 2007). "PS2 Gets Lighter". IGN. Archived from the original on November 26, 2012 . Retrieved July 10, 2007. In 2006, Sony released new hardware revisions (V15, model numbers SCPH-7700x a and SCPH-7700x b). V15 was first released in Japan on September 15, 2006, including the Silver edition. After its release in Japan, it was then released in North America, Europe and other parts of the world. The new revision uses an integrated, unified EE+GS chip, a redesigned ASIC, a different laser lens, an updated BIOS, and updated drivers. Some PlayStation 2 (PS2) revisions only change in their internal construction while others feature substantial external changes. Each region receives a different model number; for example, the V18 was released in North America as SCPH-90001, in Australia as SCPH-90002, and in Hong Kong as SCPH-90006. The final digit is a region code with no bearing on the hardware; many games and DVDs are restricted to certain regions, and the system software displays in different languages. The Nintendo 64 did not have any official multitaps released for it, as the console featured four controller ports by default (the first console to do so since the Bally Astrocade and the Atari 5200). As a result, many four-player games were released for the system. Dreamcast and the original Xbox would follow the N64's example by including four controller ports as default as well, as did Nintendo's succeeding console, the GameCube. Koei’s explosive Dynasty Warriors series has helped redefine the action genre with its musou games that specialize in seemingly endless hordes of enemies that need to be taken down. The Dynasty Warriors series has spun off in many unique directions, but Mystic Heroes marks one of the first deviations from the norm as it embraces magic and sorcery over melee weapons and pure combat.

Hi everyone. I'm just wondering if anyone has a list of every 4 player PS2 game? I have a multitap and want to know all the 4 player games. It doesn't matter whether yhey are split screen or co-op just looking to find them out.Viscosity wrote:I assume it has to do with the space between the controller port and the memory card. I am sure if you could mod one to fit the other console it would work. Also found this video. If you have the wrong version of multitap you can try messing with it and making it work. Try at your own risk though as I haven't done this. Despite this, the PlayStation 2 was released with only two controller ports like its predecessor, so a Multitap was still produced for the console. Because of compatibility issues, the original PS2 Multitap (SCPH-10090) for the early models of the console only worked specifically on PS2 games, meaning that the original PlayStation or PS one Multitap was still required for the games on the previous console. For the "slimline" model of the PS2, a new Multitap (SCPH-70120) was made that supported both, PS and PS2 games.
