Out of all of the versions in our hunt for the best No7 foundation, the No7 Stay Perfect Superlight was one of our favourites. Bottom Line: The No 7 Retinol serum combines 0.3% pure retinol with the peptide complex Matrixyl 3000, which both works to reduce the appearance of lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and more. Some No 7 skin care products contain beneficial ingredients like retinol, vitamin C, and Matrixyl 3000

There are also low concentrations of hibiscus extract, sodium hyaluronate, and Matrixyl 3000 in this serum. We found this No7 foundation left our skin looking ashy at first. It did slightly oxidise, but we still had to add a little bronzer to warm our complexion up. This foundation contains SPF15 and the consistency holds the SPF, which is why there was a slight white cast. We suggest going a shade darker. Out of all the foundations in this No7 foundation group test, the Essentially Natural foundation gave the lightest coverage. Similar to the Lift and Luminate Serum, the Night Cream features vitamin C as a key ingredient, but this time it’s the water-soluble derivative ascorbyl glucoside. After being absorbed into the skin, ascorbyl glucoside is converted to ascorbic acid (the active form of vitamin C) to provide benefits like improving uneven skin tone, fading dark spots, and increasing skin firmness. Ascorbyl glucoside is considered to be more stable than the traditional form of vitamin C, L-ascorbic acid, but research also suggests it may not increase the vitamin C content of the skin as readily.Sara is probably right in thinking that you might be allergic to something in your Lift and Luminate cream.

No 7 Restore and Renew Night Cream is a rich night cream that includes emollients, silicones, and retinyl palmitate. Bottom Line: A No 7 serum with key ingredients like vitamin C and gluconolactone that help to brighten skin, fade dark spots, and reduce signs of aging. Frequently Asked Questions Gluconolactone is a polyhydroxy acid (PHA). PHAs are second-generation hydroxy acids that are similar to AHAs but provide high-strength anti-aging benefits without irritation. Therefore, PHAs are an ideal choice for sensitive skin types. We’re very pleasantly surprised by how well this foundation performed. So much so, it surpassed our previous favourite No7 foundation, the No7 Stay Perfect Superlight Foundation. The Restore and Renew Serum foundation gave us light-to-medium coverage and it masked our blemishes with ease.

As if that wasn’t enough, research suggests that when vitamin C is applied to the skin, it significantly reverses aging-related structural changes by influencing collagen and elastin synthesis. Although, as our in-house biochemist, Elle MacLeman points out, most of the research on vitamin C’s benefits comes from the ingredient L-ascorbic acid. Bottom Line: No 7 Line Correcting Booster Serum contains just one ingredient that provides anti-aging benefits, and that’s the peptide complex Matrixyl 3000.

This No 7 serum contains ingredients that provide benefits to your skin, such as vitamin C and gluconolactone.and, it might be worth noting that your Lift and Luminate will last for up to 24 months once opened, so don’t throw it away just yet if you think you could get some use out of it.
