This book is not only a delightful tool for engaging young children in literacy that feels like play, but it is also making a very strong argument for the power of language that I would hope most librarians could appreciate. kids young enough to giggle at that are probably kids who'd enjoy a picture or two, and why wrest them from childhood before they need to be wrested? However, if you are too much of grumpypants and think that reading this sort of thing is humiliating, you will HATE this book.
