Description

This is an incredibly hilarious book, and is one of the funniest that some have ever read in their lives. Daft Wee Stories” is a short story collection that was released in 2015. “Daft Wee Stories” is Limmy’s first book. It is a collection of stories. There are longer stories. There are short stories. Some are thoughtful stories, while others are stupid. There are normal way up stories, and there are upside down stories. There are odd stories, and some less odd stories. There are totally odd stories. There is nothing else like it. Have a listen.

[34] [35] I know several people with the same mix of terrible impulses and good intentions, charisma and anti-social solitude: folk whose adolescence lasted twenty years. They're the funniest people I know, by far. I don't know how class comes into it, but they're all working-class. Maybe middle-class people as strange as them direct it inward, rather than outward as comedy or violence. (They're also all Scots but that's a selection effect, I hope.) In Januar 2016, Limmy did fower nichts at the Clyde Auditorium an ane nicht at the Hammersmith Apollo, takin material frae his telly shaws tae become Limmy Live! It’s brilliant, he’s brilliant, I enjoyed every bit of this book (Audiobook that is) Definitely worth getting the audio book over the book itself. It’s so frank and honest, I was already a huge Limmy fan but this has made me a super fan! Very refreshing to hear his experiences of sexuality, mental illness and addiction, without any of the shame or male bravado that can make it hard to open up. I would recommend this book to everyone but I think a lot could be learned for teenagers and teenage boys. Limmy asked them if they wanted him to write about all of that, plus a few other things. Like being an alky, and his sexual issues. Stuff like that. And they said yes, so it is all right here. Limond is kent fur the parody tributes he aften tweets efter the propalin o a celebrity's daith; he ay tweets that he "had the pleasure of meeting [them] at a charity do once. [They were] surprisingly down to earth, and VERY funny". Follaein the daith o nichtclub awner Peter Stringfellow, Sky News misteuk his tweet as a genuine tribute. [27] The tweet wid later become the title o Limmy's autobiographie. Mullen, Scott (28 Januar 2016). "Review: Limmy Live! Clyde Auditorium, Glasgow". The Herald . Retrieved 10 September 2016. Visit BookSleuth This is a fantastic read if you are an oddball that likes the surreal, strange, and brilliant. There are so many funny and slightly twisted wee stories. In that Lloyd Cole review, which you can see Limmy talking about on his youtube channel, Lloyd Cole said maybe one reason he didn't get into the book was because he didn't know Limmy's work when he read it, and that much makes sense. If you are a fan of Limmy you will get much more from this than someone who doesn't know him. Personally, I am a huge fan of "Limmy's Show", so when he starts talking about the "Millport" sketch or the "Yoker" sketch I know exactly what he is talking about and found it fascinating to see the genesis of the ideas behind these sketches and how they came to be made. If you are not a fan, that may be less interesting, though you can always watch the sketches on youtube as you are reading.

I always wondered if I was schizophrenic... Maybe just an overactive imagination. My mind likes to come up wi lots of thoughts and ideas, whether or no they're useful or make sense. I think that sort of thing can make you mental, depending on how severe it is and what kind of environment you're in. Fortunately I managed to find a place to put my kind of mind to good use. Kenny’s mate Scott is suicidal and is guilt ridden. Kenny takes him on a holiday to Benidorm. It’ll be quite the laugh.
