In this trio of tales, Rory forgets his snack and does something that shocks everyone, Battie thinks he might have ruined Grandparents Day, and Melanie decides to hold a bake sale to raise money for homeless puppies . The book consisted of three short stories, which all take place during little lunch (or recess) at school. Readers of this book who are interested in exploring related media can stream a TV show that was based upon author Danny Katz's stories.

ighly and hilariously illustrated, three stories of the antics and adventures that kids can get up to in the 15 minutes that is “Little Lunch”! Most of the situations are amusing and humorous, although being "germblocked" seemed, to me, rather too much like bullying for me to fully enjoy that episode, but I appreciated the positive choice made by the story's protagonist. The stories in this book, there are three of them, are the same stories as were on the show (which is on Netflix). From Battie's disgust at the brown, smelly, wrap things his grandmother fills his blue lunchbox with every day during the week his parents are in New Zealand, to the misunderstandings during dress-up day, followed by the over-the-top Germblock imposed by Tamara on Melanie, there are sniggers and laughs aplenty. All in all both of my girls were actively engaged in the stories and wanted more Little Lunch stories once complete! I can not wait to share this book with not only our young readers but with our parents and teachers, I know they will sure love it. This is what happened during Little Lunch: Debra-Jo began acting very weird after a mysterious truck arrived at school, . It centers around the "Little Lunch" or 15-minute snack-time recess at an Australian primary school.

This one had a good lesson on showcased, how it feels to be excluded and not judging without al the facts.

A lot of Little Lunch - the original six titles, now with an additional Bonus Stuff activities, in one Big Book! I received a complimentary copy of this book from Candlewick Press and Candlewick Entertainment through NetGalley. He is also known as the author of the award winning children's book series, "Little Lunch", published by Black Dog Books and features illustrations by Mitch Vane.

This book was received as an ARC from Candlewick Press - Candlewick Entertainment in exchange for an honest review. At Little Lunch we squeezed between the portable classroom and the fence, Battie fell off the old climbing tree and Melanie counted EVERYTHING. Little stories, tiny stories, but to kids, these are great Shakespearian sagas packed into fifteen minutes of recess. This is what happened during Little Lunch: Tamara tried to find a new walking buddy for the school walkathon, Rory decid. This book contains three shorts stories that are sure to have children laughing and snickering if read to them out loud or as a child is reading this to themselves. At Little Lunch we ate a BAD birthday pavlova, Atticus lost his glasses and we had a Disgusting Joke Competition by the bubblers. It brings into the discussion interpersonal relationships between students and children even questioning themselves. He is the author of The Modern Guru column in the Saturday magazine (he swears those letters are real and he does not make them up).
