You’ve got high-performance travel speakers designed to withstand exposure to dust and moisture, party box systems to bring the house down at your next event, and endless wireless headsets.

This system allows two people to listen to the same program individually with two headphones simultaneously. Both models have similar features like wireless connectivity with a 100m transmission range, supports analog and digital input, can connect two headphones at a time, and has an 18 hours battery life. So, if you are someone who needs to wear headphones for a long time, then Sennheiser RS-175 is not a good choice for you. If you need a headphone for your home entertainment set up, then Sennheiser 175 will be a good choice for you. The charging cradle/transmitter is a significant part of the design for these headphones. In our opinion, it’s neither particularly attractive nor ugly. It looks a lot like a slimline Broadband modem, with buttons on front for adjusting your audio. Sennheiser RS 175 review: Features

In the next part, I will share if this headset is not suitable for gaming. Sennheiser RS 175: For Gaming The control options are placed in the earcups for both models that let you enjoy your program without needing to get up from your couch. 2. Sennheiser RS 175 vs. 195

I think this comparative section will help you understand the differences more deeply. Compare with Other HeadphonesIt's also possible the problem is also with your satellite box instead. Can you try connecting the headphones using the analog (3.5mm) cable instead to test? The well-cushioned over-ear pads offer excellent comfort for longer listening experiences. However, the headband itself, which is split into two sections so you can hang your headphone on the central connection points, can get a bit annoying after a while. Increase the volume of the analog audio source to at least a medium level or disable the mute function. These were soon joined by a pair of cheaper RS 120's to go with a tv setup for casual ... Read more viewing. They were light, bright sounding and used regular AAA rechargeable batteries, but had an annoying habit of blasting you with static if they lost a signal. I couldn't count the times I'd fallen asleep in front of the tv and been woken by a savage blast of static at 3am, signaling it's time to go to bed. I wouldn't be surprised to learn my wife requested this function from Sennheiser to save her having to wake me herself.

Like I alluded to before, the digital transmission also improves the sound quality, and this is pushed even further with the utilisation of both “Bass Boost” and “Surround Sound Listening Modes”. The Bass Boost of course improves bass response and overall bass accuracy, with the surround sound modes giving you greatly improved spatial and lively audio. Sennheiser introduced its wireless headphone home theatre range a little while ago, featuring the incredible Sennheiser RS 175. This powerful stand and transmitter gives you an incredible home-theatre experience, ideal for movies, and your favorite television shows.

The RS 175's digital transmission quality, which uses frequency modulation over 2.4-2.8GHz to transmit audio fed to the charging base to the headphones, is nearly flawless, and it's easy to forget you're listening to wireless headphones. The actual sound signature of the drivers is very crisp and bright, and when Bass mode is activated, quite rich and powerful in the lows, as well. The transmission strength is also solid; Sennheiser estimates the range at roughly 330 feet, which is both insanely good and very hard to confirm in New York City. I had no problem walking into different rooms of my apartment, closing the door, and receiving audio with no disruption. The signal played flawlessly through walls, which means you can expect few, if any, interruptions in your living room. The only other slight issue I have is really getting used to the volume controls on the right hand side earpiece. The + and - (volume up and down) buttons are close together and quite a few times I have pressed the control above these two and activated the bass boost (which is not really needed at all in my opinion). It would be much better if the 'bass boost" and "surround sound" buttons were on the left hand side thus separating the three functions. They have the following connections available, Digital Audio out, 3.5 mm. Stereo, 6.3 mm. Stereo and RCA connections so they will be adaptable to a variety of situations. The supplied transmitter has the ability to support two pairs of headphones simultaneously. It's also flexible in terms of music sources. With both optical and analogue inputs you can connect it to all types of hi-fi and AV products, from digital AV receivers to more traditional hi-fi amps. You can enjoy the audio wirelessly by lying on your bed, and no need to get up from your spot to control the system either.

After reading my Sennheiser RS 175 review, you can understand whether it will fulfill all the requirements that you are looking for or not.
