I don't want to say too much about scenes from the book as it will spoil things for those who haven't read it, all I'll say is there are happy times, danger, tragedy and many dire circumstances. Kelly Brook is all smiles in a glamorous fuchsia suit as she arrives on set with Big Narstie ahead of filming their new SlimFast campaign White Nile is itself a fairly violent history - what stories of exploration and colonial conquest aren't? - but the gauzy lens of time adds a layer of adventure and even romance.
