However, after one innocent game of Never Have I Ever, Mac offers to play Love Coach for Freya. What neither of them see coming are the feelings that develop when the clothes come off. Is there such a thing as too much sex in a romance book? Apparently yes, for me. There weren’t many scenes where Kate and Miles actually got to know each other, except for a camping escapade (which featured sex) and a bar scene (which led to their first aggressive kiss). The whole book was a string of set-ups to sex. Also, the conflicts were over-silly and lasted too long, including several unnecessary lies on her part and an irrational insistence on being no strings “friends with benefits” on his part. Bought on sale, this is short and fun, but ultimately blended in with a thousand other Erin Mallon / Teddy Hamilton narrated rom-coms involving spunky white gals, hunky white guys, and their white-bread friends, family, and lifestyles. Yawn.

Managing the building where they live is only one of Daphney’s many jobs. It’s why she has zero patience for the obnoxious American on the other side of the wall who makes the most ungodly noises and likes to answer his door in nothing but a pink tea towel. When she isn’t busy writing in a tire shop waiting room, she is singing karaoke with her daughter while Daddy smiles awkwardly from a distance, or watching Gilmore Girls. Listen, I’ve read many books that dealt with the same type of hero so this is not me hating on the trope but me saying that in this book it was badly done and it came off as immature, ridiculous and plain stupid. But not even New York Times bestselling author, Jana Aston, having pizza delivered to me in the waiting room was going to shake my love of Tires Tires Tires.

Publication Order of Harris Brothers Books

And just when I thought it couldn’t get any more spectacular, Tires Tires Tires decided to make me their official writer in residence! Wait With Me also features Caleb J. Spivak ( Queer as Folk) as Dean, Jordan Blair Mangold Brown ( The Right Stuff) as Lynsey, Laith Wallschleger ( 80 for Brady) as Sam, Mary Jean Feton ( Christmas at Graceland) as Betty and James Knight ( Look Both Ways) as Dryston. Wait With Me plot After all of that, my agent was like, “Amy, why are you not writing a romantic comedy about this experience. It would be hilarious!”

Until the very end of the book he kept saying that he can’t and won’t LOVE his kid or Lynsey (the heroine) because he can’t risk them. If he loves them he will endanger their lives cause he could miss potentially life threatening issues. (and yeah that train of thought is related to the kid that died but still it made 0 sense especially for a medical professional to be this obtuse) I was like what?! Say what again?! It makes no freaking sense?? Apparently, the FMC likes to be degraded because she screws him as a ONS after… dumb..da…dumb… she happens to encounter him at a bar later that night being even more of an unsolicited jerkwadpissturd. Hayden Clarke isn’t the guy you take home to meet your parents. He’s brooding, troubled, and just survived the darkest days of his life. Which is why a distraction like Vi could cost him everything. When the two accidentally run into each other at a bar, sparks fly and their flirting goes to the next level. Kate/Mercedes is drawn to Miles even more when she admits to him that she writes sexy books and he doesn’t blink an eye – he even calls his family to prove that they wouldn’t either. Can you even blame a girl for falling for this guy? Tilly Logan is a fiery, Scottish lass who didn’t bat an eye five years ago when a smoldering Italian pulled her into a nightclub bathroom. He was dark, dangerous, and exactly the good time Tilly was looking for—even if he worked for her over-protective brother’s team. From a one night stand to an unexpected pregnancy and then moving in together, life is crazy. But one thing that's a given is their attraction to each other. The only thing they can agree on.

This mofo’s character profile makes zero sense. He’s obsessed with this baby and the FMC being healthy and safe. YET, he notes how involved and connected the FMC is in the baby, and says this shit… That’s how she felt right up until she fell in love with a Tires Tires Tires waiting room in her home town which inspired her waiting room meet cute series, the “Wait With Me” series. Many of her contemporary romance novels are set in London. Amy’s infatuation with all things British inspired her first American Girls in London idea which then spun into her Harris Brothers British sports romance series. Reading a book that is set overseas is another level of fantasy that she craves in a romance book. And what could possibly be better than London Bloody England? The one thing the FMC and I can agree on is that the MMC is about as romantic as wet two-day old toast…Exclusivity means all your orgasms are mine, Jones,” I ground out, my voice deep and authoritative. Challenge” is the first novel in the “Harris Brother” series and was released in the year 2016. She is his doctor, and he is her patient. They really shouldn’t, but jeez, do they want to. Camden Harris is the famously hot and hulk of a footballer and is currently laid up in some London hospital. However his busted knee does not stop him from running his own well-practiced game on his redheaded spitfire that is his doctor, named Indie Porter.

You really couldn't have asked for better narrators for this story. Erin Mallon brought Kate to life - quirks and all. She captured the snark, vulnerability, and humor so well. Add in the amazing Teddy Hamilton and I was in narrator heaven! Both gave wonderful performances and I couldn't help falling in love with Miles and Kate. You definitely don't want to miss this one! A thousand times yes! So I took my friend’s car in. Yes, it was painfully awkward walking in. Yes, those guys at the customer service counter were giving me a look like I’m going to boil a bunny at any moment, but I didn’t care! I had the keys to a car that needed an oil change! So what if the oil change took 40 minutes and I was there for 6 hours. My author community was cheering me on! One even wrote a fan fiction piece about me, complete with its very own cover! But one stormy night when the power goes out, he discovers Cozy doesn’t hate him. In fact, he’s the leading role in her fantasies. Like sneak into a Tire Depot waiting room, because her words flow there just like complimentary coffee-smooth, sweet, and scorchingly hot. After lots of hemming and hawing, I decided to sit down and just see if that story flowed as good as the complimentary coffee…well, flow it did because 13 days later, I had a full length novel called Wait With Me about an erotic romance novelist who sneaks into a Tire Depot waiting room to write and gets busted by a sexy mechanic. The guys at Tires Tires Tires were thrilled and even let me do the cover photoshoot in the TTT garage. The execution is for shit, and I’m pissed off with myself that I gave this book so long to stop juggling puzzle pieces around in my face and create something, anything of this mess. By that point, I only finished reading to see how many more ’I hate this shit’ points this book could accumulate. Turns out… a hella lot. Sloan Montgomery is a clothing stylist whose world was turned upside down when she found herself pregnant and moving to Manchester with a man who was never supposed to be her forever. Now recently divorced and struggling with shared custody of her daughter, control is a fleeting concept for this American living in England. There isn’t a point. This isn’t some publicity stunt. Tires Tires Tires isn’t paying me to talk about them (though who can put a price tag on complimentary coffee and swag?). I just found my happy writing place in a tire shop waiting room and decided to tell people about it. And with all the sad stories in the news, the thousands of things that get us down in life, sometimes, you just need to open up Facebook and have a laugh at a weird author appreciating the little things in life… l i ke complimentary coffee. ☕
