C) They should have decent sound quality – The SPORT True Wireless has excellent sound, better than some more expensive headsets The buds themselves are small and compact, and we thought that they felt secure and comfortable when we tested them.

Every movement during sports is a challenge for your earbuds fit to keep delivering great sound. For anyone who likes to listen to music while exercising, it's important to be able to concentrate fully on the sport without fear of the earbuds slipping out of place. As all ears are unique in shape and size ‘one fits all’ is not secure, so we have focused on providing a fully customisable solution for maximum wearing comfort and a secure fit.” says David Holm, Sennheiser Sports Product Manager. In reality, I found little difference between the open and closed adapters - the real magic seems to be happening with the way the app equalises the music across both modes. In focus mode, the sound carries a lot more bass, whereas in aware mode the sound is brighter with more high end. Sound is clear, direct and neutral. The Momentum 4 might have shed a little of the richness that made their predecessors so appealing, but highs are well-honed and mids are pleasingly plump. You can even create ‘Sound Zones’– essentially profiles characterised by specific EQ and noise isolation levels.

The company offers headphones to suit all styles and budgets – and (a lot of) very good-sounding ones at that. So good, in fact, that we've lost count of how many What Hi-Fi? Awards the brand has acquired over the years. To get them connected to your phone is easy: they will be in pairing mode when you first put them in, look in your phone’s Bluetooth menu and tap to connect. Purpose made for all types of workout, the Sennheiser Sport True Wireless earphones are your best gym buddy. The defaults are intuitive but can be customised, although I was disappointed to find you can’t map the ability to switch between aware and focus mode to the touch controls.

Sennheiser's app allows users to create ‘Sound Zones’ that let them select desired EQ and noise isolation levels when you enter or leave a specific radius. So, for example, you can have the buds automatically crank up the bass when you enter the gym. Roku Streambar Review: an extraordinary enhancement to your TV with added channels and brilliant sound They paint a clear sonic picture, while the top end is never harsh. If you’re after headphones that don't cost the earth and make you drum along on your desk, these will do nicely.Partner these high-end Sennheiser headphones with a high-quality outboard DAC, such as the Chord Mojo and use good quality files and you'll hear just why the IE 900 justify their premium price tag. Like the CX line, these earbuds have strong audio technology with what Sennheiser calls “TrueResponse dynamic, 7 mm diameter drivers”.

Sennheiser has a reputation for making great quality audio for home and office listening, but the company doesn’t really have a reputation for making audio gear for active types. That changes now with the introduction of Sennheiser Sport true wireless earbuds. It would also be nice if I could carry the extra tips with me in the otherwise bulky charging case. The Sennheiser SPORT True Wireless' case looks like a little treasure chest, which – as far as I can tell – serves no purpose whatsoever. It feels hollow and light; surely, Sennheiser could've found a way to allow storage for an extra set of tips? Now when it comes to battery life. The sennheiser Sport have decent battery life relative to their overall size. The Sennheiser Sport have an advertised combined battery life of 27 hours. The earbuds themselves can go for up to 9 straight hours… which is good for marathon runners or even retail workers, and the case can supply 2 additional charges. And the base CX’s also have this same battery life performance. The Sennheiser Smart Control app (available for Android and iOS) is a requirement because you need to tune the earphones via the EQ depending on which eartips you choose; the Focus EQ mode is for the closed eartips and Aware EQ mode is for the open ones. Another way Sennheiser broadened sound customization is with the Adaptable Acoustics feature, which works interchangeably with the bundled tips. There are two modes: Aware and Focus.

Sennheiser Sport True Wireless review - SoundGuys

B) They must have a secure but comfortable fit – These headphones fit perfectly, although they aren't most comfortable for long-term wear Audiophile performance on a budget – that's the promise of these wired in-ears. They're the entry-level models in Sennheiser's audiophile headphones range, but they still feel reassuringly well made. Taking the fins out of the equation however the earbuds are quite comfortable, and Sennheiser have shipped them with a “no fin” option that you can use if you want to trade off the stability the fin offers with the long term comfort of taking it away.If you're interested in headphones, you must know the brand Sennheiser. The German audio company has a wide range of products, including microphones, headphones, and more. But did you know they are also really good at making sports headphones? I guess this shouldn't come as a surprise, although I can't remember seeing any Sennheiser buds in our best running headphones guide. The app also lets you adjust the on-ear control layout, tweak the in-ear sidetone (how much you can hear your own voice on calls), and access a three-band EQ. Aside from its reliance on three bands instead of the usual five, the EQ delivers weak results. Boosting the bass fader to its maximum level, for example, only subtly increases the low-end and causes the digital signal processing (DSP) to step in. Here, the DSP compresses the signal and affects the maximum volume output. It's a little baffling that an audio powerhouse like Sennheiser has among the worst in-app EQs we’ve tested. SPORT True Wireless delivers an exceptional sound experience thanks to Sennheiser's TrueResponse transducer. Designed and engineered in Germany, the acoustic system is powered by a unique 7mm dynamic driver that delivers full bass and superior clarity without distortion - even at high volume. The SPORT True Wireless also puts athletes in control of how they experience sound and perceive their surroundings. The unique Adaptable Acoustic feature allows athletes to choose either open or closed ear adapters and adjust EQ settings for the perfect custom training sound.
