When I finished the book I said the same thing I did when I first saw the add, “What did I just read? This book is crazy, weird, flawed, unique and words are just not sufficient enough to describe it adequately. I really loved how unique the story was… I haven’t read all the books in the world but I’m confident that there is nothing like this out there.

BOOK REVIEW: I’m a Therapist, and My Patient is Going to Be

It was a quick read, but the entire two hours that it took for me to read it, I was either frowning or making other wrinkle-causing faces. It could have been simplified or explained things better without taking anything away from the book. Kinda like, when you’re nauseous and scared, but you’re still trying to enjoy it while wondering if it’s almost over. Also, despite the quick pace and moving from one story to the next, I promise that it makes sense in the end. Facebook has discovered that I am a bookworm and is now bombarding me with ads for all sorts of books.When you pair extreme characters with a complex plot and a rushed pace, things don’t always go well. While, yes, I knew this book was fiction and probably a bit… glamorized… to make it more interesting, I was expecting better. Each “patient file” ended up having a link of sorts as a whole, but each one was about a different patient over the course of a lengthier bit of time.

Dr. Harper Therapy Series by Dr. Harper - Goodreads

I was really excited to read this series because there are a bunch of books that have really interesting, catchy titles, but unfortunately I likely will not read more. How interesting of a concept to get to peak inside patient files, even if they are fiction, and read from that aspect of the story. Let me compare it to a roller coaster again, where you get off and are standing on solid ground but you still feel like you are moving or unstable.
