Description

As the first motorized Nerf MEGA blaster, this 24-dart delivering dominator features a gnarly rotating drum. That’s why the rarity and nostalgia factor make a boxed version of this pelting pioneer a prize among purists. There are two strap points, one in front of the top tactical rail and one at the end of the blaster, which the packaged shoulder strap can be clipped onto. It features the use of a carry handle; it has three tactical rails: two long ones on top of the blaster and a short one below, in front of the cylinder.

Getting that motordrive spinning up and popping out those first few darts is a deeply satisfying experience. It is a high-performance half-length dart clip-fed blaster boasting firing ranges of up to 120 feet.

You feel like you should be storming through the breeched hull of an alien space hulk, or pumping explosive rounds into a jungle encampment so your sniper buddies can pick people off in the ensuing chaos. From the first Nerf gun in 1989 and over the subsequent decades, they’ve endured and evolved, from Nerf N-Strike to Nerf Rayven to Nerf Zombiestrike, even as other toy fads have come and gone.

Ture, they may not be as valuable as certain Lego sets, but the most expensive Nerf guns are still sought after by collectors and investors who know what to look for. And, second, it was released as part of a Costco-exclusive value pack in 2015, which came with two extra drums, fifty extra darts, and was the first Nerf set to feature pre-packaged batteries.

The Mega Mastodon was released in a Costco exclusive value pack that included the blaster itself, seventy-two Mega Darts, a shoulder strap, and instructions. This means you can get an excellent range of about 40-50 feet without having to aim high and let the darts arc down. Featuring a rapid firing motorised Mega Blaster with an integrated 24-dart drum, this battle-ready N-Strike blaster is sure to stun any opponent. My son, however, needs the shoulder strap to carry the Mastodon for any length of time, which means he can’t hold it as far in front of him as I do. In the past, I’ve found that the Mega darts pack a decent punch, but aren’t always as accurate as the smaller NERF darts. In fact, its first iteration wasn’t even a Nerf product — it was released in Europe as the “Gotcha Super Blaster. If you would like to change your settings or withdraw consent at any time, the link to do so is in our privacy policy accessible from our home page. While there’s some debate regarding its actual release year (somewhere in the early 90s), the low-tech toy is a perfect example of Nerf’s ability to twist a take on classics, such as our favorite stick-and-rubber-band standby. The big gimmick here was the implementation of glow-in-the-dark darts and discs, and this compact, versatile blaster featured a clip mechanism that went behind the handle, making it a uniquely-designed, highly-accurate addition to any arsenal. Overall – Includes a jammed door to sidestep troubles and three nice-to-have tactical rails for adding further capabilities.
