Description

It’s a little slow and a little repetitive but it captures the feeling of a long, lazy summer of opening up and falling in love perfectly, and has just enough emotional turbulence to keep you interested without feeling overblown and completely unrealistic.

it depends how much you are willing to accept them, to determine whether or not you truly do love them. While it's not the spiciest book I've ever read (Ana Huang and Tessa Bailey, I'm looking at you), Heart Bones does have a bit of spice. I hate it, because I find myself wishing that the entirety of humanity would suffer just a tiny amount more than they do. I will say that I don’t love summer fling romances, so the appeal here was Hoover’s writing – and I’m happy to report that it’s so much more than that.however, this book did no such thing and rather showed a person just trying to cover up their mistakes from the person they loved as a way to feel accepted and not morally wrong, like how samson knew. Así que llegan al acuerdo de estar juntos por el verano y que al final el le responderá todo lo que quiera saber.

The description says, "It's the story of a woman chained to the memory of one horrifying night and the man whose love is the key to her freedom. I enjoy the fact that Colleen's books (most of them anyway) are written from 2 different points of views which wasn't the case in this book, but I actually didn't mind that in this book. To help you narrow down your options, here are five books that are similar to Heart Bones in some way or another. Here's the description: "Meredith's family's annual game of assassin at Martha's Vineyard during a summer wedding is the perfect chance to honor her sister's legacy, and finally join the world again. But as the summer progresses, and she lets her guard down little by little, Beyah realizes that there’s so much about Samson she doesn’t know.

With characters drawn together by shared abandonment issues, this angsty romantic suspenser ends with a hopeful happily-ever-after… Hoover's ardent fans will be thrilled. Their attraction was swift, but I loved their strong connection, deep conversations, intense interactions, and their heavy with meaning small touches. Drawn to each other by the secrets and troubled pasts they see hiding behind their eyes, they start to develop a relationship. As a story that straddles the line between YA and New Adult, Heart Bones also explores some heavier themes along the way too, as Beyah opens up about her childhood of poverty and neglect, her mother’s addiction and some of the heartbreakingly difficult decisions she had to make along the way. This novel may feel a little quieter than some of Hoover’s more talked-about novels, but it’s also a surprising read with an interesting perspective, a sun-soaked atmosphere and a compelling romance storyline you want to see play out in full, making for a moving, heartfelt read that deserves just as much attention as CoHo’s other, louder books.

Now, at 19, she has a volleyball scholarship waiting for her in Pennsylvania, but with her mother dying of an overdose and nowhere to go, she’s forced to live with her estranged father. Beyah's plan is to keep her head down and let the summer slip by seamlessly, but her new neighbor Samson throws a wrench in that plan.
