Klarion in turn summoned Teekl and had his familiar lead the Leviathan to Badde, who was summarily killed by the multitude of children. A rivalry sparked between the two, and their battles often came down to a competition of spellcraft.

At the start of THE WITCH BOY, Aster is frustrated that he can't shape-shift like the rest of the boys in his family. In another episode, he, along with four villainous magicians, Wotan, Wizard, Blackbriar Thorn, and Felix Faust, split the world into two different realities, one populated only by children under the age of eighteen, and the other populated by adults, the youngest being eighteen. With the help and encouragement from Charlie, a girl from outside his community who also doesn't conform to gender norms, Aster becomes brave enough to try practising his magical skills. He soon attracts the attention of the demon Etrigan, who attempts to send him back to his own dimension several times.

In January 2021, it was announced that an animated musical film adaptation will be produced for Netflix. After Teekl successfully stole the branding iron from Jason Blood, Klarion used it and casted a spell to split the demon known as Etrigan and Jason into two beings. He's more interested, however, in practicing the magic that girls are allowed to do and he's expressly forbidden from doing.

The connection between this dream, my experiences, and Aster and Juniper's story is what draws me to this film every day. However, the company's upcoming slate includes animated projects from Richard Linklater and Guillermo del Toro, among others. Vandal Savage briefed them on his partnership with Darkseid and remarked that they should keep an eye on Halo, for she could be the key to their partner's much sought out Anti-Life Equation, and likewise the key to their own victory. Really, that was my biggest concern, that the "witchy" elements of the book would lead to it being rejected by some people who otherwise might enjoy its messages. Klarion the Witch Boy appears in The New Batman Adventures episode "The Demon Within", voiced by Stephen Wolfe Smith.

In the last year, Netflix has put a new focus on animated features, looking to continue competition with Disney+ and other streaming services. If the family had encouraged his non-standard magical expressions, he likely wouldn't have become such a mess in the first place. Klarion is a young practitioner of the dark arts from Witch World, an otherworldly dimension where everyone is at least somewhat knowledgeable about dark magic.He traveled above ground, to Manhattan, where he was discovered by Melmoth, who offered the boy food and a place to stay.

The illustrations are all in a sepia tone, giving it an antique look and conveying the emotions and struggles. Batman managed to steal the branding iron away from Klarion and cast a spell to rejoin both Etrigan and Jason together. It is easily read as a metaphor for discrimination in gender roles, with men being pushed toward violent activities and women towards domestic ones.The bus briefly flew across the sky of Apokolips, much to the confusion of Big Barda, before teleporting away.
